My recent call history disappeared after installing iOS 17. How can I recover my call history?

if you have a back up, you can go ahead erase to factory restore back up to see if that will restore the call history. That would really be the only way to try to get that back and as a recommendation always make sure you have a recent backup before you update your device because there’s always potential for data loss.

My phone is a crazy phone! It has a mind of its own! Siri male voice is aggressive and talks back sharply! It doesn’t ring unless it decides to… Turns off ringer without me touching it… drops calls at questionable times… Now, I only receive documentation of my missed calls, not the calls that I make or accept! This happened on the day the SOS showed up on everyone’s phone in the world on February 22, 2024. I received an apology note, but no discount offered.

Now, no matter how many times I turn off and on, it’s stays this way. I have an iPhone 13 and I really don’t like it! Out of all of the phones I’ve had from Apple, this is definitely the worst! I’m sorry I bought this phone! I was pressured into it..

I am terrified. I can’t believe APPLE is not addressing issues from the last update where we lost our recent call list capacity. I turned off all automatic updates as I just cannot deal with anymore updates from APPLE that remove important features. That we all have come to love and use maybe! Good God! Maybe it’s because Apple is going belly up! Look, at the end if the day NOTHING has BEEN DONE! Or fixed. There are very smart people who work at Apple. They are not addressing concerns and probably won’t by now. I have been an Apple user from 1st phone to 13 pro max. Maybe it’s time to go android. Phones will undoubtedly be less expensive. That did not work. I did a factory reset and still no phone icon or recent call list. I've done everything nothing works. It's like they need to make a app so we can re install. There is no other way. I can ask Siri to bring up my call list as it does. But for me to find it. It doesn't exist period

Like I said it's like apple needs to make a app that we can down load and install it that way. You can ask Siri to bring up your resent call list it can but it then that we don't get it back

Not really an answer, but a non-answer: Anyone posting about resetting the network settings are being helpful, but it does not work. Tried it on two separate iPhones, one updated from iOS16 and the other updated from iOS15. with no joy.

The recent call list is still present (IOS 17.3.1)

However, only 3rd party app calls are listed - ex: Whatsapp and Messenger.

Regular GSM calls (in and out) are no longer appearing.

This started happening after updates to 17.x.x

The current version of iOS is 17.5.1. You're a bit behind.

Tx for the heads up

Now upgraded to 17.5.1.

However, the GSM calls not appearing in recent calls issue is still present.

FYI : Whatsapp calls, Messenger calls and Facetime calls all display correctly in recent calls.

Sorry, the logs are gone. Maybe your carrier has a user site that will allow customers to log on and retrieve all history for the last 60-90 days.
