Issues adjusting volume on iPhone 15 Pro Max

Whenever I go to the Control Center to turn the volume down, it bounces back up on its own. This happens without a case, so it’s not a result of buttons being accidentally pushed. On iPhone 15 Pro Max with iOS 17.0.3.

A force restart seems to fix this. To do that, press the Up Volume side button once, then press the Down Volume side button once, then press and hold the On/Off (right side) button until you see the Apple logo appear. Did the trick for me.

Also... come ONNNN Apple.... the fact that this has been going on since DECEMBER.......

Please look into whoever is overseeing the updates for your devices...

It would seem that someone is either indifferent regarding this defective function on your MOST EXPENSIVE PHONE.... OR that they are lacking the knowledge/skills to fix it...

Just stating the obvious.

This is an iPhone 13 Pro checking in that this issue HASNT BEEN FIXED FOR YEARS.

I’m on the latest patches in everything,(17.3 hotfix currently) no accessibility settings, I own no OTHER APPLE DEVICE on the network. Anything that could even have a Spotify instance is unplugged and I can still recreate this bug constantly.

why can’t I control the volume in the control center apple. Make it make sense.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max has similar issues. While listening to a podcast the volume will rise to deafening levels. When I look at Control Panel the volume is completely down even showing it muted. Restarting may help at first but it goes right back. Or the volume will be so low I can’t hear anything but whispers. When I look at the volume slider it’s on high. I’ve fiddled with Focus and it started working. But I couldn’t tel you what I did. Couple of days later I have the same problem. I hope with every update there will be a fix.

And I’m glad to hear someone else with these issues also had trouble with the alarm. Mine would be set, but no sound. Many days late to work, kid late to school. I finally just bought a regular old alarm clock and don’t even bother setting the phone anymore

Thanks to everyone who has supported an answer to this issue. Unfortunately none worked and shouldn’t be our issue. I’ve been using iTunes/Music since the 90’s. Glitches happen but this volume issue is not acceptable. Streaming high res music so almost acknowledge the fact apple’s service is sub standard compared with competitors these days so was reluctant to switch over. Looking like I’ve got a big job to switch over my library from the 90’s but feel the service/quality and support is better from Tidal/Qobuz…Even Amazon. If I receive no legitimate response my decision is ‘unfortunately’ very easy now.

I’m overjoyed to report that since moving from an iPhone 12 that suffered from this ridiculous fault to an obscenely expensive, high capacity iPhone 15 Pro Max, the incredibly annoying fault *IS STILL PRESENT*!!!!

Does anyone remember when Apple used to be a byword for Quality, Innovation and Ease-Of-Use? I miss those days.

Somebody PLEASE resurrect Jobs so he can start taking names at Apple!
