Whatsapp preview images not working

Maybe my english is bad: the issue affects ALSO email and other.

THIS IS DEFINITELY AN APPLE ISSUE.

I have the same problem, but I didn’t update to iOS 17, so I’m still on 16.7.2 and it happens anyway, so maybe it’s a WhatsApp problem not iOS?

The problem appeared with iOS 17.0.3, in the meantime Whatsapp has released several updates.

It is therefore presumable that the problem is attributable to the operating system and not to the app, for a mere deductive question.

We'll see.

I believe the issue affects ALL previews, not just Whatsapp ones.

In fact, I'm noticing that even the content of the emails (usually anticipated with a line in the notification) remains on "Upload", exactly like the rest.

I am facing the same issue on my iphone 12 after ios 17 update, i cannot preview images or even listen voice notes , it just keeps loading forever, i did go in whats app help section to atleast raise a ticket but they keep giving me stupid Bot responses and suggestions which are not helpful at all. Lets pray if Apple or whats app acknowledge this bug and fix asap

Some form of assurance from Apple Team looking into this would be nice since the problem starts from 17.0.3 update onwards. The problem persists after 17.1 update, surely it’s probable that iOS update can possibly fix this. Please help Apple Team!

APPLE Tech Support can you please help us on this right away please?!

We invested on the latest devices and we update regularly only to not face such issues really.

So please do not let us down by ignoring this clear issue we are all facing.

For all of you asking for Apple help, there is NO APPLE here in these user to user technical forum, as stated in the term of use.

ALL OF YOU need to take this energy and let Whatsapp developer know or look at their support site. Whatsapp is NOT AN APPLE app.

No I don't use the app, but if I have issue with said app I would let the app developer know.

The OP stated in this thread the issue is with Whatsapp.

Not sure why you guys are so hard headed, let Whatsapp developer know, or look at their support site.

Complain to Whatsapp, use the same energy to complain to them.

Sucks. but pretty sure it's due to their update from last week. Hopefully they'll release another version soon that will solve it.

I have the same exact issue. I deleted the app and reinstalled. Still having the same issue. Anyone has any luck on this?

As I anticipated, iOS 17.1 did not solve the problem.
