watchOS 10.1 : Heart rate complication invisible

I have updated my Apple Watch series 9 to 10.2 and the Heart Rate complication is still not showing data on watch face icon. Works just fine if you open the app.

Blood oxygen and ECG do show on the Modular Ultra watch face but switching between the Modular Ultra and the Wayfinder and Chronograph Pro watch faces does not fix the problem.

Now Heart Rate does show on the Wayfinder watch face.

I tried this, hoping for a fix but didn't work for me. The heart rate app doesn't show up on any of the watch faces for me, only for a couple seconds after switching between watch faces and not every time. Same for the EKG app.

Same here. All my Watch Faces with the simple 1-liner Heart Rate complication has disappeared / turned invisible.

Hopefully Apple is well aware now and maybe a fix/WatchOS update is on its way?

Meanwhile I am using the Module Ultra one so that I can see my heart rate...

I’m using Functional face with HR at the bottom. It was not showing.

As suggested I tried to use Modular instead. Started to set it up but I didn’t like it. Went back to my functional face and now it is showing and working 😎

Hi folks, same issue: apple watch Ultra 2, updated to watch os 10.1 - ECG and Blood Oxigen complications disappeared on Chronograph Pro watchfaces. However they work fine if you tap on the empty space 😂

The apps are there just don't show on the watch face. If you tap the location where you put the heart rate, ECG and/or blood oxygen complications they will work. It's just unsettling not to see the icons. I have AFIB and that's why I bought a Series 8 last year when I thought it had started again.

My watch shows the heart rate if not in the bottom right section. It won’t show any complication in the bottom right but they are simply invisible. Tapping there does open that app. Only happened after the WatchOS 10.1 upgrade.

Yes. I noticed this tonight as well. I also looked through many of the faces and I don’t see the heart rate complication showing. It’s one of the most important features for me and most of why I purchased the Apple Watch. Please fix it Apple.

Workaround: The Heart Rate complication works for me in the bottom of the “Modular Compact" face.

Going one step further: Now, when you go back to your previously used complication (mine is Motion), the heart rate information is suddendly populating at the bottom of screen. Odd, but works (for me)! 😍

No heart rate on Breathe Watch face. Problem started after latest update on 6 series. Diagnostics in store revealed nothing. No answer. Bought brand new Series9 2 days ago. Heart rate complication does not appear on Breathe face. Appears on Gradient face, but you have to tap and wait several seconds while it figures out your heart rate. I used to be able to glance at watch and see heart rate. Those days are gone. I use it to see what heart rate is doing with my adjusted blood pressure medication. I thought new 500$ watch would cure it, but it didn’t. Please bring feature back with just a glance.

people does stand behind this not computing machines. have mercy a bit for them. you all even don’t have a clue how to compute and how exhausting this job can be. you have to be a husband, a father/mother and on top of all life work a son or a daughter for your old parents. calm down people. we will not live forever.

I called Apple and there is a Modular watch face containing the heart rate. Unfortunately you will need to select it to see the rate. There is nothing that will display it continuously until they an update is issued.

I don't think these complications will work until they push another update. Please don't waste your time with Apple support, I was online for two hours but they only did what I could have done it if I knew what they were going to do. Just reset, restore, and ask you to do more stupid things. When I called back and complained about wasting my time, one senior support staff said, they were aware of the issue and they will push a fix as soon as possible, so sit tight. nothing will fix this issue until they update the OS.
