watchOS 10.1 : Heart rate complication invisible

Mine just came back. I put modular face on set it up left it for a few then clicked heart for heart rate then closed it out then deleted it went back to my original face and it’s there and not invisible

I found on another thread (Reddit) a solution. They suggested a free app called Heart Analyzer and I used it as my complication. It seems to work fine, however the heart rate can be up to 10 minutes in the past. It appears the heart rate updates sooner than that sometimes, probably if there is a noticeable change.

I had the same issue.

I fixed it though: remove the watch face that contains this complication and just add it back with the same settings.

Now heart rate is visible again. I had this issue in the Activity Digital and the heart rate was at the bottom.

EDIT: never mind.. as some said above, it does not update. Mine is stuck on 20min. ago. Doesn’t matter if I click on it and it measures it again.

I found it is visible in the center complication of the "Modular" faces.

I switched from “heart rate” to “heart watch” that work around works for now.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Heart Analyzer free app has been working for me. I set the complication for "Recent Heart Rate" and have been satisfied with the results so far.

I installed the Heart Analyzer App and used their complication for now until Apple fixes it.

It looks almost exactly the same.🤙

I called Apple and there is a Modular watch face containing the heart rate. Unfortunately you will need to select it to see the rate. There is nothing that will display it continuously until they an update is issued.

I’m having the same issue. I’ve found that it still works on the sub-dial top of the Infograph watch face, but that’s the only watch face it’s still visible on for me. The calendar complication isn’t working either.

I reached out to the developer of the Heart Analyzer app. It works fine for me but there is delay of up to 10 minutes at times. Here is his answer:

Generally on the Apple Watch third party app complications update roughly every 10-15 minutes. Unfortunatly this is not always as often as the built in Apple complications. The watch tends to measure your heart rate every 5 minutes, so there can occasionally be some discrepancy, but not much. If you don’t think your complications are updating this much, can I suggest the following things:

Try checking the app has background refresh enabled in the Apple Watch App for iPhone -> General -> Background Refresh

Try launching the watch app when the data is stale, swipe right twice and select Refresh, see if this kicks it back into sync with the auto updates

Try uninstalling and re-installing the app

I just spoke to Apple and they said that it is a glich with the update and they are working on it

My watch is also doing the same thing

Hahaha, very funny devil baby. Others don't do this. The only work around is using the Modular faces. Otherwise, this will NOT be fixed until the next release.

I mean, I guess you can cut off your nose to spite your face when there’s a perfectly good workaround with the Heart Analyzer app complication for the time being. But you do you boo.
