In only one of my text groups, I have this audio message symbol and I inadvertently sent a one-minute audio to a whole group of people (😬). Thank all that is holy I didn’t say anything bad or talk about anybody. I can’t figure out how to get rid of it!
How do you get rid of red audio symbol in message text box. It is only one of my contacts that is affected
This was happening to me. If you don’t see the microphone on the bottom right then go to Settings and look up "Dictation" and enable dictation on your General Keyboard settings. This will get rid of the red microphone button!

Thanks sxpphires. That worked for me. The red symbol is gone now.
I tapped on the microphone icon and now it disappeared and now in all messages the red audio icon appears!
Red audio symbol appears after each text message and records. Very embarrassing
same issue.
