Why the heck should we have to go through trying to erase, unpair etc… when this issue is clearly a software problem?
my Ultra is draining SO fast. Doesn’t last 7 hours now!
Apple creates this nonsense yet wants users to jump through hoops? No…. Fix the problem via an update!!
My wife's less-than-month-old series 9 heated up when charging, didn't charge, and the battery dropped rapidly. Took it into the store... sent it in to Apple... was shipped back today. They said they couldn't replicate the issue (Apple Genius couldn't get the diagnostic system to work on her watch) and sent it back. Let's hope it's not broken worse or back to BB it goes for a swap.
For the people that this affected it killed the watch in 2 to 3 hours, made it overheat, etc. I uninstalled Moby Fox that I read about somewhere in the forums and it fixed my issue. I deleted it off the phone and the watch
My watch situation is the same my watch on less than 5 hours drained 90% it is sitting at less than 10% right now and was nothing wrong with it before the update . They need to fix this or will be the last Apple product I buy . I spent enough on their products
I Have had this issue last few days, iWatch Series 9 - 45mm, installed update 10.1 Tuesday or Wednesday, didn't wear but noticed when i got back from doing some graft that day that it had drained completely, just sitting next to computer, last 2 days i have charged to full and timed the power loss and today done the same after doing the unpair, re-pair, restart etc. and still the same 25% loss in 30-40 minutes of sitting here on side of computer in a standby state, Also the wife updated her iWatch Series 9 - 41mm to 10.1 Thursday evening and voila same issue last 2 days, normally we get a full day+ before recharge prior to this update. So i have now just uninstalled the Moby face software on mine and i will try updating it on hers to see if either fixes the issue as people suggest, will update in 24 hours
My goldie oldie Watch Series 4 is behaving very weird after this update. I use Strava a lot and when using it for 10 -30 minutes the Watch (100% battery) suddenly stops, shows the red of death battery info and obviously Strava is gone as well. When I charge the Watch for 5 minutes, battery is 100% again, but the Strava info is gone. Fix this Apple, never had this problem before!!!
***Update**** so i uninstalled the "Moby Face" app on my phone/watch and works perfectly fine now battery life on watch has been normal now. since charge to 100% on side here only at 55% after 36 hours of standy/low use
Also on wifes phone we updated the "Moby Face" app and couple of other minor apps and same result, all seems fine now charges ok and she had nearly 2 days now since charged to 100% so i dare say it will need a charge tonight when she gets home about 10.
Watch OS 10.1 has so many bugs.
I have to reset my watch at least three times a week now because it does random weird stuff or forgets to display stuff. Notifications freeze up my watch or you click on the notifications and it does nothing, not to mention drains my battery. Fitness tracker shows multiple different readings and sometimes different to what’s on the phone. It is really cooked at the moment. Do they not test anything anymore ?
Sometimes my calls don’t come through on my Apple Watch even though my phone is connected and I have cellular on my watch. listening to music with headphones & it will just randomly switch to the Phone and start playing the music through the phone or start playing completely different playlist from the phone…. The list goes on.
This is really put me off owning an Apple Watch. used to love it now it’s just extremely frustrating.
Third party apps can still drain your battery.
From 10:30 (maybe 11:00) to 13:20 I still had 100% on S7 with 87% capacity. It looks like improvement to me. Ok at 13:33 I had 99%. But.
After my very positive feedback early this morning I installed one third party app. Watchla to have an access to my Tesla from Watch. Wow. I've lost 6-7% in 1,5h (maybe even faster because I didn't check it properly). Nevertheless third party apps can still drain you battery way quicker than it was in the past.
Someone told me that 3 party apps have restricted background activity. But he mentioned about "side effect". He can't tell anything more because he is saying about theory. Anyway I think that 3 party apps can trigger something like location etc and even If you uninstall them this process is still running and drains your battery. So yes maybe it is apple fault but for customer it doesn't matter. Draining is draining. Check MacRumors forum

My ultra was draining so fast after the latest update…. Lasted only 7 hours. No 3rd party apps…. All of a sudden 4 days later it seems to have corrected itself. Back to lasting 2-3 days. Not sure what’s happening lol
My series 9 still has battery drain issues after the upgrade to 10.1.1.
The first day is all right, from 100% to about 55% in 13/14 hours of use.
The day after when I wake my watch, battery is 52% (so 3% less - why???) and in 5 hours he goes to dead! I don’t know what to do. No third party apps
Don't care about 3% lost at night. It is fine. The real deal is an inconsistency. As you said. First day was fine but then a disaster. I see same thing. Sometimes it is fine sometimes not. And it could happen during same day.
What did you posted? They can delete some links etc. You can also describe your method on MacRumors forum. It is even better place because here I see more complaining post than post with possible solutions
Whaaat? What did you say? I mean how they can delete this kind of thing when people try to do their job. As I said. Let's take a shoot on MacRumors forum. Really. It is better place to find user's solutions.
I have 10.1.1 installed and prior to that I had 10.1. I did not have the battery drain problem with 10.1 but I do with 10.1.1. My watch ran down from 100% to 77% in just over two hours this morning and yesterday it was running down quicker as well. With 10.1 it was late in the day before the battery was lower than 80%.
My watch is the Ultra 2 and I typically don't fiddle with it throughout the day.
