WatchOS 10.1 battery drain issue
My Series 8 watch upgrade to WatchOS 10.1 this morning and now my watch battery drains in 2 hours or so. What is the fix for this?

If the battery drains too fast after an update, see all the replies to:
Battery Drain since watchos 7.4 - Apple Community
WatchOS 7.5 battery drain - Apple Community
FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)
Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support
Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.
Why won’t Apple respond to us? This is clearly a big issue. They sent me to the “genius”bar and they told me too bad. Why won’t Apple acknowledge the problem??
Same here. Watch used to last all day; from 8am until around 11ish pm when it would be at 10%. It now goes to 10% around 4pm. Apple needs to fix this asap.
Me too
My name is Antonio I like to let no Apple my iPhone 13 battery runs at 80% and my FaceTime doesn't work properly. Thank you.
My series 7 also will not hold a charge after
updating to iOS 10.1.
apple watch OSをバージョンアップしたら、バッテリーが急に消耗してしまうケースが有り、実に不安定。
なんとかしてもらえませんか。
よろしくお願いします。
10.2
And that’s not apple’s fault. It means there developer is either careless or incompetent.
I have updated to 10.1.1 but my ultra battery is still draining fast. From 100 to 50% in mere few hours. Now I really cannot use the watch anymore.
It truly stinks that this is happening I solved my battery problem but when I posted it they deleted it. Would love to share but don’t know how.
Did you try to do anything with that apart from waiting for an update?
I didn’t post links just how to solve the issue they said I couldn’t mention certain things.
I will post on macrumors forum now
On the other hand my Series 4 with 81% battery health is still at 96% charge after 4 hours.
I see your post. I also don’t agree with you. Same thing people were saying with 10.1.1. So. No. Simple no. No one knows what is happening
