iOS 17 is missing the toggle to turn off group messaging. I updated to iOS 17 and cannot find the feature in settings to toggle off group messaging. Has this feature been deleted from the new operating system or is there a bug?

Interesting. I was never aware of this capability. I thought everyone saw everything- period.

Thank you for that link. I left feedback and also chatted with someone from Apple Support who said there is no known workaround at this time. I hope someone finds one soon because this is a major problem for me and many others who relied on this feature every day.

I am with AT&T. I also do not have a Group Messaging switch. But I may send group messages without issue.
This is not helpful at all when you need to send the same message to 25 different people but you don't want to provide everyone's phone number to everyone else. It's not professional.
In that case, send emails rather than messages.
I use an app called “A2Z Contacts” that lets me send either texts or emails to my Apple contact groups.

The iPhone X will not receive or update to IOS 17. This is why your husband's iPhone still has the 'Group Messaging' toggle feature. This feature was last available in IOS 16.
If you turn off iMessage and turn off mms you can send a group message without everyone seeing each others number
Has anyone else lost all MMS settings where you don’t have an option to turn MMS messaging off anymore?
It looks like Apple is not going to bring this feature back.

I contacted Consumer Cellular and their support said their service has nothing to do with toggling Group Messaging on or off. Attached is a picture of the setting in IOS 16, before it disappeared.
Thanks SB. I can send group messages to multiple people on iPhones and Android. I normally send to 8 to 12 people asking for opinions or permissions to do something. More on a professional topic rather than casual chit-chat. When the group messaging toggle was turned off, only I would receive the replies from those who reply. That was the desired result.
It’s not good when someone replies ’ok’ and 12 people have to hear the ding and see it.
