I just want to know where the text to my voicemail went. Period. I upgraded it to 17.1 also and ever since then I’ve lost my voice mail message text. How do I get it back?

After upgrading to a version of iOS 17, I lost the text that was attached to a voice message. I have live voicemail turned off. How can I turn on the text to a voice message again?
My carrier wants to charge me a monthly charge and this free with Apple . So they say your problem
No, voicemail is not free with Apple. All your iPhone does is display voicemail calls that have been recorded by your carrier. so you first have to set it up with your carrier.
Hi Sharrahl442 - go to settings, phone and turn off Live Voicemail. This should restore the "Voice" mail that you had prior to the upgrade.
The same thing happened to me but was fixed when I updated to IOS 17.4. Hope this will help anyone else struggling with the same issue.
