iPhone 15 PM WiFi and Data Connection Issues

Hello,

I recently purchased an iPhone 15 Pro Max yesterday and I have been having major issues with the WiFi and data connection (although the data connection is just slow)

When I connect to my WiFi I get full bars but I cannot use the WiFi as there is seemingly no connection whatsoever... nothing loads whatsoever and I cant do anything... I have already tried resetting my network settings on the phone and after the network settings are reset the WiFi works for about 30 minutes to 1 hour and then it reverts back to the state of not working at all (still with full bars)

I dont have this issue with my PC, and nobody else in my household has this issue (iPhone 14 Pro Max and 2 iPads)

Thanks,

Problem solved with using a newer modem. I have Centurylink fiber with a fairly old modem. Attached is a newer “flash router” for more Wifi channels. Switching to the flash router 5G WiFi worked.

In discussion with Centurylink support, the tech noted: “your modem is only for WPA2 and the IOS of your phone is WPA3. So I highly suggest to replace your modem.”

So, newer modem seems to be the solution.

The problem may be with your wifi modem/router, and not the iPhone. Some internet service providers (ISPs) are having connectivity issues between their equipment and the new iPhone 15/pro/max, with no connection or connection dropping. If you call your ISP, they have a patch, like splitting your network. Any fix from re-setting your network connections on the phone, or re-starting your modem, is likely only temporary.

OMG!! After searching for the answer for hours i finally found it. Thank you so much.

So basically after trying everything apple says to try, its probably your VPN. If you set your new phone up and transfer everything over from your old phone, if you have a VPN your new phone will try to use it but it will keep getting messed up. You will notice this by seeing that the VPN settings keep flickering. Simply delete the VPN by going to Settings>General>VPN & Device Management. Then tap the icon next to your VPN and delete it. This should solve your problem.

DO NOT TRY THIS SOLUTION FIRST!!!! PLEASE CONTACT APPLE SUPPORT BEFORE TRYING THIS!!

Only use this solution if nothing else works because you will have to set up your VPN again and thats annoying.

Thanks so much for this info. This was the problem for me. I had Bitdefender VPN on and went into settings (VPN & Device Management) to check this. I saw that it was trying to connect to Bitdefender mobile security app and kept saying connecting... and I couldn't deactivate it. But then I switched to the Bitdefender VPN app in the settings and it worked instantly. So thanks a lot for this information and for those experiencing the same issue, try to make some switches in the VPN & Device Management, maybe it will work. Or just delete the VPN app if you have one.

This really works.

for this go to the home wifi network and click on details

and wait on the page you can find Wi-fi 6E Mode. You have to turn that off. If you don’t find that just restart your phone and stay on the same screen for few minutes then you can able to see this option “wi-fi 6E”. Now turn off that. Then my wifi started working fine. Hope it helps!!!

Also...the phone will try to restart the Wi-Fi 6E Mode from time to time. So, if you have issues again it might be that you have to turn it off.

And, another weird thing, the option to turn off Wi-Fi 6E mode using the little slider isn't always there!! It appears between Low Data Mode and Private Wi-Fi Address when it is present. Try shutting down and restarting your phone to see if Wi-Fi 6E Mode reappears. It is usually there, just not always.
