iPhone 15 PM WiFi and Data Connection Issues

Hello,

I recently purchased an iPhone 15 Pro Max yesterday and I have been having major issues with the WiFi and data connection (although the data connection is just slow)

When I connect to my WiFi I get full bars but I cannot use the WiFi as there is seemingly no connection whatsoever... nothing loads whatsoever and I cant do anything... I have already tried resetting my network settings on the phone and after the network settings are reset the WiFi works for about 30 minutes to 1 hour and then it reverts back to the state of not working at all (still with full bars)

I dont have this issue with my PC, and nobody else in my household has this issue (iPhone 14 Pro Max and 2 iPads)

Thanks,

I hope you read the issue they explained. Other devices work ok on the WiFi.

We have 2 iPhone 15s pro max that both concurrently have this same WiFi issue. The iPhone 12 and 12 pro max, 3 iPads all work fine. Smart devices all work ok. We have swapped out our router to a Wifi6 router but still same issue after all the iOS updates. Everyone cannot simultaneously be complaining about the same issue and it’s nothing. Apple should own up and do something about this. I’m contemplating returning the devices for android phones or an iPhone 14 Pro Max.

OMG!! After searching for the answer for hours i finally found it. Thank you so much.

So basically after trying everything apple says to try, its probably your VPN. If you set your new phone up and transfer everything over from your old phone, if you have a VPN your new phone will try to use it but it will keep getting messed up. You will notice this by seeing that the VPN settings keep flickering. Simply delete the VPN by going to Settings>General>VPN & Device Management. Then tap the icon next to your VPN and delete it. This should solve your problem.

DO NOT TRY THIS SOLUTION FIRST!!!! PLEASE CONTACT APPLE SUPPORT BEFORE TRYING THIS!!

Only use this solution if nothing else works because you will have to set up your VPN again and thats annoying.

Thanks so much for this info. This was the problem for me. I had Bitdefender VPN on and went into settings (VPN & Device Management) to check this. I saw that it was trying to connect to Bitdefender mobile security app and kept saying connecting... and I couldn't deactivate it. But then I switched to the Bitdefender VPN app in the settings and it worked instantly. So thanks a lot for this information and for those experiencing the same issue, try to make some switches in the VPN & Device Management, maybe it will work. Or just delete the VPN app if you have one.

I have been Apple user for some time and I have had the same problem with data and wifi on iphone 15pro. Apple is no help. My solution is to trade it in and get an android. Apple has become a behemoth of greed since the passing of Steve Jobs. The quality of their products have consistently gone down over the last few years. Time to consider going back to dare I say it to Windows and android and or possibly Linux. At present I am resetting the my iphone 15pro for the billionth time.

This really works.

for this go to the home wifi network and click on details

and wait on the page you can find Wi-fi 6E Mode. You have to turn that off. If you don’t find that just restart your phone and stay on the same screen for few minutes then you can able to see this option “wi-fi 6E”. Now turn off that. Then my wifi started working fine. Hope it helps!!!

iPhone 15 user since March 2024. Never had a single WiFi issue with my iPhone XR that went before.

With iPhone 15, 2-3 times a day my phone will report “no internet access” and nothing will load. WiFi signal couldn’t be stronger, and all other devices on the network are working fine, these include my work laptop, my work iPhone 13 and my own iPad. Only the Phone 15 reports “no internet access” and this usually lasts for 20-30 minutes. So WhatsApp calls and messages can’t be made or received.

I have tried all the suggested fixes, in fact I’ve “reset network settings” so many times I only have two networks in my list.

My ISP has reported that the modem/router at the two locations I am mostly at is working fine. Apple have carried out remote diagnostics and says my iPhone 15 is fine.

This iPhone 15 seems to be the most disappointing iPhone I have ever owned and also the most frustrating!

I for some reason have been having the same issue. I have xfinity internet gig speed, full bars on my phone probably not even 10-20 feet from my router and I have issues watching facebook reels and such. No way it can be my internet. Wife has the same phone, 15 pro max and she has been experiencing the same issues. Sometimes I disconnect from my wifi and my ONE BAR of service plays videos better... I just don't quite understand it myself. Might be a security thing since there is enhanced protection on these models but im not sure. Haven't fiddled with those settings yet.

Signed in just to say thank you. My wife has been struggling with wifi issues for a while and this fixed it.

For SEO reasons, I’ll mention it was with an iPhone 15 Pro and a Bell Home Hub 4000/GigaHub residential gateway. It supports Wifi 6E and my wife had no problem in the living room where she was always within 15 feet of the device with a clear line of sight. But leave the room and it was like she was on 56K unless she toggled wifi off and on again, just absolutely irritating.
