17.1.1 issues with volume after update

I updated to 17.1.1 and my volume was fine before I did the update. Both bottom speaker and top speak worked like a charm. Did the update and everything cut out for the bottom speaker. Went to an Apple Store to do the diagnostics on it there is nothing wrong with the hardware. Apple please fix the issue with your software I’m not the only one who is having an issue. Iphone is iPhone 11 Pro just haven’t updated it on my login here.

Same issue. Restored phone with DFU mode same issue. Brought it to the apple store they plugged it into this little doc and did an audio diagnostic that did sweeps on each speaker and it worked after that. Guy rubbed some stuff on the speaker and said it was dirty….. riiiiight buddy… I had a picture of the speaker before i gave it to him. He put on a pretty good show. I just wonder if apple makes them do that or its for some stats. Anyway it works now. Iphone 12 pro max phone volume issues after update.

I am having similar problems. I turned my phone off and the volume controls worked for a bit then went back to the same problem. It’s a bug. When I play something on audible or another app, my phone volume controls do nothing. The sound plays at its own volume! When I go to settings-sounds and haptics - I can make an adjustment on the master volume but it is incoherent. It can go up but sometimes if I lower it the sound volume is at zero even though the volume control is raised and lowered. This is a massive problem. Sometimes when I hook volume to Bluetooth speakers the volume coming out of the speaker system is really low. Nothing changes it. Unless I go to settings-sounds but then it explodes into super high volume even though I didn’t turn it up. There is no rhyme or reason to any of the volume controls. It is absolutely ridiculous. Fix the Apple! I’m sick of this impoverished quality.

My wife did the update as well. The volume on the phone sounds muffled and is nowhere near as loud as it used to be. She complains she can barely hear me and pretty much has to put it on speaker phone, which isn't really a work around.

Apple messed up on this one and needs to get this fixed. Anybody buying new phones will have their phones updated at the store to the latest IOS and they will hate from day 1

Nope I tried everything for fixes and nothing. I took it to the Apple Store told me it wasn’t a hardware issue, takes to their I.t. And they told it wasn’t a software issue🙄(🐄💩)

im just going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new phone.. I think I may be going to google or Samsung after this..

what I can say is this there are work arounds. If you can find the old iPhone headphones that came with phone that can plug into the port you can talk to people at normal volume. But other than that you are s.o.l.

I have an iPhone 14 and it’s Still nothing like it used to be. How many has the same phone, same problem. It’s more significant to me because I have some hearing loss so I can tell the difference.. he notices the difference, but it’s insignificant to him because he doesn’t have any kind of a hearing problem. We both are on IOS 17.4.1. Minor changed after the first upgrade from 17.1 but nothing since then. STILL AN ISSUE!
