Macbook pro m1 max 14 trade in returned with damage and no power adapter

Infuriating. I bought a top of the line m3 max and traded in my laptop. First at the Apple store, they offered full trade in value but told me (after the phone support told me it would work toward my payments if I traded in store) that they would only give me a gift certificate and it would not go to my payments. OK. So I went home and mailed it with the provided shipping box. Got a email a week later saying my trade in value was revised to 200 dollars. Seriously? for a 3400 dollar laptop in perfect shape? I rejected it and got it back a week later, no power adapter, scratches all over it and dings.

Opened a dispute. Ill let you all know of Apple takes care of me. Not impressed with the integrity of the trade-in partner.

Based on Personal Experience:

I came across a flickering screen on my 2017 Mac. The connector between the LogicBoard and the screen was loose, and I had to send it in for service 11 times. Being that this was during COVID, I had to send this in for service, as all Apple Stores were closed. Being so patent of a customer, I was granted a free $2,500 upgrade. So, keep it cool, and maybe -- just maybe -- you'll get a better deal.

Screenshare with the Apple Rep:

To easily prove to the Apple Rep what is going on here, request a prompt for a screensharing session with the Apple Rep. That will allow them to see this firsthand, and upfront. Show this user through screensharing your Mac. Show them any paperwork or hover over something, through screensharing your iPhone.
