Same issue with iPhone 15 Pro and iOS 17.2.1

Many hard reboots, but no touch input at all. Also the iPhone doesn't charge using USB-C anymore (0,3 Watt). This cable worked for months and is still working for my iPad.

By using a MagCharger the iPhone is charging.

Same issue with me, my Iphone 15 Pro and iOS 17.2.1.

Screen displayed but no response at all, charging USB-C did not work.

Racing with 20% batt level, gladfully sucessfully charging by wireless.

5 times reset did not solve.

This happened after previous night update the iOS at 25% battery level.

Went to service center, they solve this problem by resetting the phone, all seemed a new device with all initial application, with the latest iOS.

Hypothesis : The problem caused by corrupted iOS downloaded file.

Automatic installed corrupted iOS update may cause device malfunction.

Suggestion :

Apple should develop checksum and 100% guaranteed iOS update perfect downloaded.

Otherwise, never installed corrupted iOS update.

iOS updates generally aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. Screen Response issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

This seems purely coincidental so please check the Setting on your device. Adjust how iPhone responds to your touch - Apple Support

I had the identical problem immediately after iOS 17.3 update.

To fix it I had quite a struggle but followed these steps:

Reset the iPhone using vol up, vol down and hold the power button. Keep holding the power button held down until PC-wire-iPhone image shown. Connect it to Mac/Pc with iTunes. (I had the phone connected to PC whilst doing the reset sequence)

In iTunes, you should get some prompts about updating/ restoring the iPhone.

follow the steps and after sometime downloading backup and restoring, the phone should be back up. (You should see a small icon in iTunes showing download progress- I got fed-up waiting and went out whilst doing this for the umpteenth time)

It did take me a couple of tries with the reset and the iTunes step (and quite a bit of time for down loads). But I’ve now got my phone back.

Still not 100% sure of the reason why, may be a corrupt backup (and no explanation from apple support) - I had to be put through to a specialist to resolve this, but may be the steps above could spare you this pain :)
