How to bypass the passcode on an iPhone?

Recently, I forgot my passcode for iPhone and now find myself locked out of the device. It's quite distressing because I have numerous personal files, essential contacts, and important data stored on it. I desperately need to regain access to my iPhone as soon as possible.

So, my question is, does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge about potential methods to bypass the passcode on an iPhone?

There is really only one way to get in a phone if you have forgotten the passcode and that is to erase it using a computer and then restore it from backup after you get back in. There is no bypass for a forgotten passcode.

Assuming you have backed up your iPhone, you won't lose data. If you haven't backed up your iPhone, it's too late now and your data will be gone.

Getting locked out of your iPhone is a real pain, especially with all your important stuff trapped inside. I totally get why you'd be looking for a way to bypass the passcode. Unfortunately, bypassing the iPhone passcode isn't straightforward due to Apple's tight security measures. But don't lose hope! Here are a couple of things you might try:

iTunes Recovery Mode: If you've ever synced your iPhone with iTunes, this could be your ticket in. You'll need to put your iPhone into Recovery Mode and then connect it to the computer you've synced with. iTunes will give you the option to restore your iPhone, which wipes the data along with the passcode. The silver lining? If you've got backups, you can restore your data from there.

Hi Brooks1114.

If you forget your iPhone password, you can unlock it in many ways, but unlock it without data loss, this is unlikely, cuz this is how Apple designed their product, you can't unlock it without data loss even if you ask Apple support for help.

Still, if you have a backup, you can unlock it and then restore the data back to your iPhone.

Here's how to restore your iPhone to unlock it, Apple official support link, but i will show you the straight way too.If you see a iPhone, iPad, or Apple Vision Pro unavailable message or Security Lockout screen - Apple Support

If you forgot your iPhone passcode, use your Mac or PC to reset it - Apple Support

Restore iPhone Using iTunes or Finder to Unlock iPhone

  1. Enter Recovery Mode:
    • iPhone 8 and later: Press and hold the Side button and a Volume button until the power off slider appears. Turn off the phone. Connect it to the computer while holding the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.
    • iPhone 7 and 7 Plus: Press and hold the Side button until the power off slider appears. Turn off the phone. Connect it to the computer while holding the Volume Down button until you see the recovery mode screen.
    • iPhone 6s and earlier: Press and hold the Side (or Top) button until the power off slider appears. Turn off the phone. Connect it to the computer while holding the Home button until you see the recovery mode screen.
  1. Restore iPhone:
    • Open iTunes or Finder.
    • Select your iPhone.
    • Choose the “Restore” option to erase all data and reset the device.
  1. Set Up iPhone:
    • After the restore process is complete, set up your iPhone as a new device or restore from a backup.

If iTunes or Finer is a trouble to you, and your iPhone is running iOS 15.2 and later iOS, you can try this.

Unlock the iPhone From the Lock Screen

  1. Input the password incorrectly five times on the lock screen until "Forgot Password" appears.
  2. Select "Forgot Password" and then "Start iPhone Reset."
  3. Sign out of your Apple ID and tap "Erase iPhone" to initiate the factory reset process.

You cannot bypass the passcode once it is setup to be used. What you can do is reset the passcode. In the process of resetting the passcode, all your data, on the iPhone, will be deleted. Once the password has been reset, then you can restore your iPhone from a backup file that you may have created on iClod or on a computer. Detailed response below.

——-

I understand that you are referring to the passcode that is used to get to the Home Screen of your iPhone. You will have to reset the passcode to your iPhone by following the instructions in this guide published by Apple 👉 Reset the Passcode of your iPhone (Without a Computer) Note: All the data on your iPhone will be erased.

Hopefully, you have a backup created on 👉 iCloud and/or on a computer. If you do then, you can 👉 Restore your iPhone from the backup file once your passcode has been reset and the iPhone has been returned to factory settings by the procedure in the link above.

Hey friend, if your iPhone is locked and you need to bypass the iPhone lock screen without a password, typically the iPhone's password is not bypassable, but you can erase the lock screen password by resetting the iPhone. Although this willresult in the loss of data on vour iPhone, it will allow vou to regain access to vour device.

You can use iTunes or iCloud, but there are better methods. Next, l'l show you some methods:

Unlock iPhone using "Find My":

On another device or computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple lD.

Click on "Find My".

Select your iPhone from the device list.

Click "Erase iPhone" and confirm. You'l need to enter your Apple ID password to confirm.

Once the erase process is complete, your iPhone will no longer be associated with your Apple lD, and the lock screen password will be removed.

Reset iPhone using iTunes:

Connect your iPhone to your computer using a USB cable and open iTunes.

Then you need to put your iPhone into recovery mode.

iTunes will detect your iPhone and pop up options to update or reset.

Folow the prompts to perform the reset operation.

iTunes will download the latest i0S software and restore your iPhone, This process may take some time.

Once the process is complete, your iPhone wilrestart, and you'll be prompted to set it up as a new device or restore from backup.

This will also remove the lock screen password from your iPhone.

Or you can use Tenorshare 4uKey which is also useful.

2. iPhone 7 and 7 Plus:

- Press and hold the Side button until the power off slider appears.

- Turn off the phone.

- Connect it to the computer while holding the Volume Down button until you see the recovery mode screen.

3. iPhone 6s and earlier:

- Press and hold the Side (or Top) button until the power off slider appears.

- Turn off the phone.

- Connect it to the computer while holding the Home button until you see the recovery mode screen.

Restore iPhone:

1. Open iTunes or Finder.

2. Select your iPhone.

3. Choose the “Restore” option to erase all data and reset the device.

Set Up iPhone:

1. After the restore process is complete, set up your iPhone as a new device or restore from a backup.

Oh, I totally get how stressful it is to be locked out of your iPhone, especially with all your important stuff trapped inside. But no worries, I've got a couple of tricks up my sleeve that might just save the day:

iTunes Route: First off, there's the good old iTunes way. You basically connect your iPhone to a computer, pop it into recovery mode, and hit restore on iTunes. It's kinda like giving your phone a fresh start.

I understand the stress of being locked out of your iPhone and the urgency to regain access to your data. However, it's important to note that bypassing the passcode on an iPhone, or any device, involves navigating through security features that are designed to protect your privacy and personal information. Apple's security measures are particularly stringent to prevent unauthorized access to your device.

Here are the official steps and methods you can consider to regain access to your iPhone:

  1. Use iCloud to Erase Your iPhone: If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use iCloud to erase your device remotely, which will remove the passcode. However, this will also delete all data on the device. After erasing, you can restore your iPhone from a backup if you have one.
    • Go to iCloud.com/find on a computer or another device.
    • Log in with your Apple ID.
    • Select the device you want to erase.
    • Click "Erase [device]" to erase your device and its passcode.
    • After the device has been erased, you can set it up as new or restore from a backup.

2. Recovery Mode: If you haven't synced with iTunes or set up Find My iPhone in iCloud, you can use recovery mode to restore your device. This will also erase the device and its passcode, allowing you to set it up as new or restore from a backup.

    • Connect your iPhone to your computer and open iTunes (or Finder on macOS Catalina or later).
    • While your device is connected, force it to restart.
    • Don’t release the buttons when you see the Apple logo. Keep holding until you see the recovery mode screen.
    • Once in recovery mode, you'll have the option to restore your iPhone.
    • After the process is complete, you can set up your iPhone as new or restore from a backup.

That sounds like a super stressful situation! Getting locked out of your iPhone and not being able to access all your important stuff is definitely a headache. But don't worry, you've got a few options to try and get back into your device.

  1. Using iCloud (Find My iPhone must be enabled): If you've got Find My iPhone turned on, you can easily erase your device remotely. This will remove the passcode, but also wipe your device. Just go to iCloud.com/find, log in with your Apple ID, select your iPhone, and choose "Erase iPhone." After it's erased, you can restore from a backup if you have one.

I would be able to back it up if I could enter my password, but I can't enter it because of the screen. It's so out of date. I think the last backup was in February :( The phone can be turned on, I need to buy more storage because I think I have it set to automatically backup to the cloud. It hasn't been able to do that for a while because I've been out of storage space for so long. Maybe that could help? Would that help it update to the cloud instead of going through itunes?

My phone was recently thrown against a wall (not by me) and the screen is shattered. It also ruined the front facing camera, so my face ID doesn't work either. I need to back my phone up using iTunes because it hasn't synced to the cloud in a WHILE and I cannot lose all my stuff! I am unable to type my passcode to unlock it and when I plug it into my computer, it says that I have to unlock the iPhone to use the accessory cord to back it up. WHAT SHOULD I DO?! I am kinda panicking right now.

Backups need to occur before catastrophe strikes. Afterwards is too late.

You may have decided that "You cannot lose all of your stuff", but if the phone is completely broken, and the data exists only on the phone, that may be what is about to happen.

You can't, what would be the point of having a passcode if you could bypass it?
