Transparent photos forced to have white background instead of transparent background

So just a few days ago I recently found out that all the images that I have saved from my phone for about 6 months that have transparent backgrounds (aka no background) now are forcefully stuck with a white background 😤😡

Before, the background would be white before pressed then black when clicked on, but now it just stays white. I know a few comments here will tell me to just hold press on the item, but that ruins the quality of the image and ruins the cropping, adding an ugly white outline around it.

Another question may be the website I use which it cannot be I tried using the app (Picsart) yesterday to see if I can save new images as transparent, and It worked perfectly fine. The background was normal, but all of my previous images are stuck with this white background. I'm really upset. I don't know whether I should update my phone to iOS 17 or whatever. Not only that, but I hate updating it because apple does dumb updates and I cannot get a new device either because I am a teenager with no job yet, please help. I'm very upset with this non-transparent thing not working..😔

please help if you have any tips.. I saw another post with the same issue this is VERY bothersome

I’m not going to keep this conversation going because I’m not trying to be disrespectful in any way. I truly didn’t understand what you were getting at, the other website that I used to remove backgrounds would tell me when an image couldn't be used.

The thing you aren't understanding is that around 2k of the photos on my device have already been turned transparent. (meaning that they were already added to an app the background was removed perfectly fine, then let me save) And recently that has been removed. The photos no longer serve a purpose and cannot be imported onto another app for me to use. I appreciate you trying to help me, but you're getting irritated because I don’t know basic facts about formats and PNGs.

This change happened a few days ago. being obviously frustrated I’m thinking that it’s my device or something.

Anyway, I’m already speaking with someone from the app who's trying to help me through the issue.

Please do not reply to this thread anymore. If I need help with something, I’ll ask someone else.

Have a good Chirstmas!
