There is a problem with your payment method which may prevent the renewal of this subscription. To avoid losing access to your service, update your payment information.

I confirmed with an Apple customer service representative just this morning that it is a phishing scam. The Apple representative said that they have had multiple reports of these types of emails this week, and that the scammers are getting very sophisticated in their ability to impersonate Apple and other companies.
Anyone who is continuing to say otherwise is just part of the scam.
I would advise anyone else who gets these emails to contact Apple directly via chat or call to get independent confirmation or just forward the email to reportphishing@apple.com

I also received one of those Fix Billing emails. I would think it IS from Apple since it contains a “Verified Logo”. This email is not appropriate.
How can I change my email address and my debt card has been declined so I have to wait until Tuesday 1/02/2024 to find out why and then I’ll join Simple.

It’s a bug with Apple. It doesn’t have anything to do with your card., my card doesn’t expire until 2028 I’m getting the same message.

Today I was able to add the card apple had previously said had expired but had not. I think they have fixed their billing issue? Anyway, very disappointing. I would expect better from Apple.
