Mac has been going very slow.

So, I have a rather new Mac Studio. It has been going very slow for the past week. A couple days ago, when I turned it on, a spinning wheel was on the screen. I left only to come back later and it be on. But it is telling me I have 80 some gigs free of 2tb. I see it says I have like 1.5 tb of apps. Which I do not. Also 1. something of Time machine. Now, today I was burning a disc. The disc ejected and ti said to many things were being used. What in the heck is that about. This just started happening all of a sudden.
