After update, Apple Pay says my card is expiring, but it is not

Why did the new update make Apple think my Apple Pay acct think my card is expired ? It won’t expire for two years, and now I can’t use Apple Pay for anything.

iPhone 7, iOS 14

Mine is doing the same thing. I can’t download any apps or many any in-app purchases because it says my card is going to expire. It doesn’t expire for a while. Very frustrating because I can’t remove the card to try and add it back in from my phone because of my active Apple Music subscription.

I was able to fix mine. What you have to do is add another card. When adding make sure to put the 2 digit month and 2 digit year on the date. Then you can delete your original card. One deleted you can then add it back but make sure to use the 2 digit month and 4 digit year. One you add your original card back you can delete the other card if you want. Hope this makes sense.

I had the same problem with a card that hadn't expired. I think the problem is that only 2 digits were previously required for the year of expiration and now 4 digits are required. I was having the same frustrations where I couldn't delete it and reenter it. That is until I finally added another card that I didn't really plan to use for Apple Pay. Then I was able to delete my preferred card and reenter it. Be careful not to use the photo option to capture your card if only a 2 digit year shows on our card. Once this was done, I deleted the extra card I had added.

Fixed, and, I think the issue reared its head as we did the fixing. Apple wallet takes the date down as MM/YY but the new settings system wants MM/YYYY other wise YY alone is "expired." Someone messed around in the settings version of the credit card rerouting ... and left the wallet version behind. Now they don't speak the same digits.

I’ve been dealing with this and I use Apple Pay for my business. Says it’s expired, but it doesn’t expire for 3 more years.

I can’t edit the card.

I can’t delete it bc there are subscriptions associated with it.

I cancelled my subscriptions, but have to wait until they run out. I paid for one subscription for a full year so it won’t run out until June.

Apple hasn’t helped.
