Kindle App keep crashing on my iPhone

I have also had this issue too.

The fix for me was as follows:

1. delete the kindle app from my phone
2. log into Amazon and deregister the problematic device (www.amazon.co.uk/hz/mycd/digital-console/alldevices)
3. Reboot the iPhone/iPad
4. download the kindle app again
5. sign in again

I had tried everything else, rebooting, uninstalling, but had not de-registered the device in Amazon, that seemed to be the key bit for me.

The answer that worked for me was to deregister your device on the Kindle app.

So go to Amazon and sign into your account.

Choose accounts and lists, and then devices.

Deregister your device that the Kindle is crashing on.

Delete the app from your device.

Restart the device and reinstall the app.

Log back into Kindle/Amazon and it should work.

I went into my Amazon settings on my computer, went to manage your content and devices, clicked on devices and deregistered my iPad and iPhone then resigned in. It worked finally!!! After 2 days of trying to figure out how to fix it.

I did as timpoa suggested deregistering device on Amazon uninstalling and then reinstalling and it worked. No more crashing. Thanks timpoa😁

I was also having this issue and tried uninstalling w/ deleting data then reinstalling several hours ago and it didn't work. I just tried uninstalling/reinstalling again and it worked and is now allowing me to open and read ebooks.

You may want to delete and reinstall the kindle app. My wife uses this to read avidly and I backed up the iPad, deleted the kindle app, then reinstalled. It is now working well. Good luck.

I called customer service. Whomever I spoke to said that they already knew that there’s an issue and are working on it. I wasn’t given a timeframe for repair, they just said that I could read online @ read.amazon.com

My kindle app on iPhone and iPad started crashing last night, went through multiple uninstall/reboots on both devices. It doesn’t fix things.

The app loads, displays a dashboard and then it crashes. No workaround.

Same with me. After trying all day I deleted the app and reinstalled it and it's now working. I tried the same thing earlier in the day and it didn't work. Wow, I was really lost not having access to my books.

Ok, my app is working again. But I had to delete it and reinstall it to get it to work. Good luck everyone!

I got it working by deleting and reinstalling the Kindle app tonight.

Some people can get theirs to work on airplane mode but sadly I’m not one of them. I’m currently using the web reader and checking on the app frequently to see if it’s fixed yet

My Kindle opens and closes almost immediately I have taken apps off in case I was overloaded. This is becoming very annoying, can you help me to fix this as I am an avid reader and housebound. ,this is happening on my iPad also.

Contacted Amazon to get an update and was told they are working on it. I should try again in 48 hours to download a book to my iPad. For me, I can read what I have already downloaded on my iPad when I turn off Wifi.
