Apple deactivated my account and won't reactivate it or refund me

I have an apple account i use solely for apple music. Two days ago out of the blue when i opened the app it asked me to log-in. When it failed a few times i tried to login on my PC incase i had forgotten my password but was met with the error "This apple id is not active". I proceeded to call apple support and was told they would reactivate it and it would take up to 24 hours. The following day i recieved an eamil stating that my request does not meet the conditions to reactivate my apple id.

So i called apple support again. They said they would look into it and reactivate my account, before then hanging up on me after 18 minutes. Once more i called apple support and was this time informed they could not reactivate my apple account, meaning my apple music playlists, library etc was lost. As I had already paid for this months apple music subscription i asked that at the very least they refund me, as currently they have just taken my money before locking my account. I was told this could not happen.

So not only won't they reacctivate my apple id for my apple music, but they wont refund me for the subscription either.

This situation is ridicoulous. I have been using apple music with that account for well over 6 years now.

Is there anything else that can be done?????

For anyone wondering, the account i am using to post from is the account i use for my ipad, completely seperate from my apple music account i use for my non-apple phone.

I have the same problem. I have a second hand IPad, which I have had for 6 years, decided to unsyn the IPad from my other Apple products and use it as a stand alone item. I created a new Apple ID and all seemed well. A few hours afterwards Apple deactivated my account and refuse to reinstate it. I cannot get an answer as to why they deactivated the AppleID or why they will not reinstate it. I have had numerous phone calls to Apple Support, supplied numerous documents all to no avail. I have asked to speak to whoever deactivated the account, there is no contact number that I can have. Through no fault of my own I am left with an IPad I cannot use.

Yes, after the first one, we have to send you over to legal.

I’m trying to figure out what legal will do.

Legal is about 35 paragraphs of legal mumbo-jumbo that basically says ha ha we don’t have to help you. you can open a new account if you want but whatever you bought is gone along with your text messages that can’t be transferred if you’re locked out of the cloud which I am.

You can still use the iPad if you have the original sales receipt.

Apple can completely reset a device if a person can provide sufficient evidence of valid ownership. Do this online at: Activation Lock support request - https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support Apple says, "Proof of ownership documentation is required," but does not detail what currently constitutes proof. Prior to this new online service Apple typically required the original receipt issued by Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller and documented provenance (so typically it would be the original owner who does this, or a descendant with legal proof of ownership). This will give you access to the device but won't restore access to the account used to lock it. There is nothing that can be done to expedite an Activation Lock request.

Apple recommends you "Keep your receipt after you buy an Apple device" --> Keep your receipt after you buy an Apple device - Apple Support

Apple deactivated my phone February 11 and has refused to reactivate it. They told me to go by the new iPhone 15 then they transferred the deactivated phone onto the new phone so now I have two phones that I can’t get into an Apple actually told me I probably have to buy another 15. there was a suspicion of theft with the phone. I’ve been logging into for three years with my face. It’s shocking.

The world has changed. 30 years ago if somebody got hold of your account all they could do was post to a BBS under your name. Now if they get hold of your account they can get all your private life details and control of all your finances. Big tech. companies are having to take this seriously and individuals need to do that too. You only get locked out of your account if Apple thinks this is happening and if you cannot then demonstrate to them you are the true owner of the account and equipment. In addition, devices such as iPhones are very popular for thieves who can come up with all sorts of stories about how they are a poor old granny whose dog disabled her iPhone and won't Apple please reset the phone with just her say-so? So unfortunately in this day in age, ownership of devices and use of technology carries certain responsibilities. Apple is not doing this to be mean to you, it is protecting your information and illicit use of your equipment. Unfortunately you are apparently not able to convince them you are the account and equipment owner. There also used to be a lot of posts from people who said that Apple did little to prevent a thief from getting use of a stolen phone, and a hacker to getting into accounts. You're experiencing the flip side of Apple responding to those complaints, sorry.

Apple deactivated my account and won't reactivate it or refund me
