I update my iPhone 12 to iOS 17.3 yesterday and since then I have the problem that I can’t connect with my laptop to my personal hotspot. I haven’t had any problems earlier.

Hi. I also encountered this issue while switching from iPhone 12 to 13. The cellular voice on ip12 shows 4G with the personal hotspot visible and working.
using the same sim card on iphone 13 it shows data voice as LTE. The personal hotspot wasn’t showing because the in the mobile data network settings the following details were not included.
please add the carrier name as the apn in the mobile data and personal hotspot
Navigation: Settings > Mobile Data/Cellular > Mobile/Cellular Data Network, if you are using single sim data
if dual sims are used then select the sim first and open the Mobile Data Network.
This is infuriating. Same issue with everyone here and I rely on this daily.
Apple please fix this mess!!!!
I have the same issue connecting a android device. But more specific on the android device: can not obtain ip address was working before 17.3

Not working for me. Running 17.3.1. I usually use this with my tablets and never had an issue before.
Yep still not been fixed. I’ve updated my iPhone to 17.4 and still the same issue with the hotspot and not obtaining ip adress.
Still not been fixed on the latest update. Shocking from apple that they have done this

Yep I did the same with my carrier. Then the tech guy tried my sim in his iPhone 14 Pro Max on iOS 17.2 and the hotspot worked fine but when the sim is in my iPhone 14 Pro Max on the latest iOS the hotspot does not work which shows it’s definitely an apple issue since the updates.
Called my carrier and requested a refund for the 5GB hotspot services I am suppose to get each month. I suggest you do the same. While it isn’t the carriers fault, they should take this up with Apple.
