My download folder disappeared from Finder, and I am unable to restore it. I followed the steps in Preferences/Settings to make it appear on the left side of Finder with the other folders, but it does not work. A similar question was asked on February 12 (Download disappeared from finder [and browser]) and the answer provided on February 14 did not work. How do I make put the Download folder back in the left column on Finder?

Look in your Home/User folder and drag it back to the Finder Sidebar
