after updating to 10.4 on series 9 watch battery drain is awful. I can get it to last the first day, shut it down and turn on next day and battery just dies within a few hours. Goes from 64% to 50% in a matter of minutes. Fitness does not recognize that I have stood for my minute either. have to charge it in the morning which defeats the purpose

This has been a huge problem for me. I've removed apps, done everything I can think to do and my Series 9 watch w 10.4 update STILL drains within hours! I've tried to Power Off (and that wasn't easy!) and still have an issue. PLUS my watch seems to get awfully hot for some reason at times. Does anyone have any idea how this can be resolved or if it's a known issue?
thank you for all the advice. What I ended up doing was to unpair, restart phone then repair again. it is a process that should not have to be. This has helped. Battery percentage remained at 98%. I hope this helps. My battery will last 3 days if I turn it off at night. I do not use my watch for sleep.
Was charging my Apple series 9 as it kept losing battery. Just returned having been charging for hours to find it completely dead and unable to switch it on. Even on the watch app on my iPhone says it has gone . Any ideas

If you unpair your watch then repair it, you should see your battery life return to acceptable levels.
I tried unpairing and repairing...seemed to work better for a day or two but it's now back to draining fast.
Same issue here since 2 days. Charged my Series 9 before going to bed and the battery was dead in the morning (battery health is at 98%). Hope an un-pair & re-pair will help… 👀
Have you tried unpairing the Watch from your iPhone?
Mine started having same issues and today I noticed it was not recognising any activity on the app. Left it to charge come back it it is completely dead.
