iphone 15 not connecting to macbook pro

Ever since I upgraded to my iphone 15 Pro, I am unable to view my iphone in finder on my Mac Book Pro 15" 2017 2.9 ghZ Quad Core Intel i7. Worked fine on my iphone 14 Pro. Any ideas?

That worked! - It WAS the cable

I ordered a random cable on Amazon (advertised as data transfer), and still no luck. Then I tried an Anker brand cable and bingo!

Thank you for saving me a trip to the Apple store lol

iPhone does not show up in Finder over WiFi I have an iPhone 12 running 17.0.1 and a MacBook Pro 16-inch 2023 running 13.4.1. I would like to sync the phone to the computer over WiFi, but it does not show up in the Finder. The phone does show up when connected via USB. The phone does properly back up via USB. "Show this phone on Wi-Fi" is checked. Both the iPhone and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. There are no other network issues I can see. The phone and computer use the same Apple ID in case that matters. What could be in the way here? I've tried turning "Private Wi-Fi Address" on and off but it doesn't seem to do anything, and it seems strange to have to turn that off to sync wirelessly. What items should be on my troubleshooting list?

Why does my iPhone 15 Pro Max not display content in the main Finder window when connected to a Mac running macOS Monterey? iPhone 15 pro Max. macOS Monterey v.12.6.7. Late 2015 iMac 27” so, unable to update O.S. This has happened b4 ~ 4 times in the past 1 ½ years. The only solution that has worked is to restart my Mac. What does NOT work: Restart iPhone Restart Finder. Plug iPhone cable into back of iMac USB port instead of into the USB Hub. Unplug/replug or reverse the USB-C plug. My iPhone does chime when connect to Mac iPhone does appear under locations in left Finder pane with the eject icon on R side (which does not work.) I can also R click the iPhone & select eject & that also does not work. Why does this happen? I have the same peripherals plugged in 24/7, nothing changes when it stops showing iPhone info in R main Finder pane. My iPhone still will charge.
