Whatsapp App not linking to Whatsapp Desktop

Hello there,

I cannot get my whatsapp (ip 15 pro max) to link to whatsapp desktop(windows).

It always appears error and reverts back to first page that have to click get started.

But I can link to whatsapp web and android phone.

I'm sure it's not internet connection problem, because I use the same wifi connection for all device.

Have tried everything including deleting current versions and reinstalling. Both on iphone and desktop.

I have tried to link another phone to the same whatsapp desktop and it worked, I have tried another whatsapp desktop from another laptop also the same issue can't connect. so what is the issue?

PLEASE HELP!

I'm encountering the same error here! I just switched from an Android phone to an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and now the desktop app isn't working. It worked just fine with my Android phone. I had to transfer the WhatsApp data from the Android to the iPhone; could that somehow be the problem?

Same error for me, I've been trying all day with 3 different window computers, also reinstalling the application and restarting. Linking works fine with Whatsapp web and Android, but fails with Windows Desktop.

I am using Iphone 15 Pro with last iOS version, last Apple Store Whatsapp version and last Windows Store version...

I have a new iPhone 15 Pro Max and the desktop WhatsApp app for Windows gives an unexpected error when it tries to sync after reading the QR code. The web browser version on the Windows desktop does work. I’m using the latest version of WhatsApp windows desktop app and despite repairing, resetting and reinstalling, it continues to give errors.

Is there a way to restore the backup after linking the device? I am thinking of this:

ATTENTION THIS IS NOT THE SOLUTION

  1. make a new backup from the iphone itself
  2. uninstall and reinstall
  3. Not restoring backup
  4. Link device in windows app
  5. restore backup.

The weakness is that there isno way to restore after the installation.

What if having it restored on iphone, I create a new backup and resintall whataspp? Have anybody done that?
