Why is the Dock not showing on my Mac when I am full screen?

To further illustrate the suggestion by @BDAqua

First image is Safari in Full Screen Mode and yes the dock is hidden

Second image is still in Full Screen Mode and moving the mouse to Botton of Screen

Presto, Dock re-appears

Angie, have you positioned the pointer at the bottom of the scren & waited for the Dock to show up?
