Issues after updating to iOS 17.4.1

Recent 17.4.1 on iPhone 13max pro Opticon Companion 1.3.0 app for hearing aids lost sound from Chrome, voicemail, and YouTube. I can still hear sound through hearing aids for Companion app, voice calls, Spotify, recordings and some other apps. Uninstalled apps, restarts, checked for app updates nothing made a difference. Need a patch for this asap.

I have been dealing with the same issues since I updated to 17.4.1 and have scoured the internet for some answers. I can only find a couple of tips from users that worked for them (not for me), but where is anyone from Apple on this "Apple Support Community" forum?

This is my main problem and it started right after the automatic update. Phone will start doing whatever it wants without my command and then other times it will not respond at all to swiping or clicking. So aggravating!

That usually means that your touchscreen is failing. Contact Apple and arrange for them to run diagnostics:

FYI about the Weather app. There is an ongoing outage of the Weather app and it’s dead for most of us. Check Apple Services Status for information. As of right now (3:50 CDT) it’s back up. No bug, no glitch but a widespread outage that apparently is fixed now.

After downloading the update this is what I noticed:

• phone numbers missing from names 😡 which causes no end of issues.
• when I type, the keyboard clicking noise isn’t able to be muted. This is embarrassing when using apps during meetings to write notes and all you can hear is my keyboard clicking.
• ditto when taking photos with camera, it is important when taking photos in quiet locations the volume is muted

Note: Weirdly the photos issue seems to somehow have resolved without me doing anything.

Apple, please fix this volume issue, I cannot mute it no matter what setting I change. I am telling others I know not to install this update until the issues are fixed given how many have posted here.

I can only use my phone on speaker phone!

After this IOS 17 update, all my old photos are gone! Even the backup cannot help!

YouTube Goes slower, and other sites as well after update

ios 17.4.1 on iPhone 13. Facing fast battery draining and slightly more heating. Who else has this issue? Do you have any recommendations regarding that?

I am having WiFi connection problems after Updating to 17.4.1

Since updating my iPhone, the speaker quality has become excessively loud, even at low settings. When a contact calls, the pictures on the screen are shrunken and I am unable to access the menu because the phone keeps reverting to the home screen on its own. Additionally, there are instances where I try to answer calls, but they are abruptly disconnected.

My battery is dying insanely fast! Goes from 95% to 60% in about an hour with nothing being used or running in the background. Then when I go to charge it it takes several hours to get back into the 90s. This is crazy!

Post-17.4.1 update, I am receiving the following messages: my calendar is and when I click on calendars it shows an image of a large lock and the message “this app does not have access to your calendars” but when I try to troubleshoot, it appears that it does; “some iCloud data isn’t syncing” but nothing happens when I try to toggle “Resume Data Sync”, and in iCloud I cannot toggle the Passwords & Keychain to Sync with this iPhone. Very frustrating. Zero warning and no solutions I’ve yet found. Yet another time wasting, buggy update from Apple.

After the update iMessage & FaceTime is not working as well as no texts from group chats that I’m apart of. I also cannot receive calls they go straight to voicemail….. idk if this might set me off the edge to switch to Samsung 😭

Face ID has stopped working, apparently its a hardware sensor issue that the update has located nothing to do with the update at all!!

Can reset face id as it requires your face id to do this!

Been advised to go into the shop and they can help with the sensor. This better not cost anything as this is not my doing.
