I get Horizontal lines in parts of the footage after export but not in all clips of the movie—just a few. What could that be? Also, the higher resolution I try to get (better quality), the lines get more prominence. Please help.

I am curious as to whether or not you are shooting interlaced footage.
To find out, select a clip in the Browser and in the Inspector make sure "i" is chosen.
You can see from my screenshot that my clip is 1920 x 1080_50p
That means it is Progressive. What does yours say? If there is an "i" instead of a "p" it means it is Interlaced.
I can't see any horizontal lines or do you mean the "combing" effect around the golfer's hands?
That is caused by shooting movement with interlaced footage.
If that is the case, put your video in a progressive project to deinterlace the lines.
What camera are you using (make and model)?
What is your shooting setting?
Ideally it should be Progressive (p) as Interlaced is a throwback to the days of the old Cathode Ray Tube TVs when bandwidth was extremely limited.
From the menubar at the top left of the screen select File>New>Project
In the window that opens select a suitable frame Rate. Because I am in PAL land I can pick 25p or 50p
For NTSC you could use 30p or 60p according to what your camera shoots. Finally select OK.
Drop your interlaced camera video clips into the timeline. Job done!
It would be helpful for other users if you reported the results of implementing Ian's advice. Did it work?
