IOS 17.5.1 Problems

Phone was dandy until I did iOS 17.5.1 update last night. I just got off phone with Apple Technical Support, no solutions as of now. Here’s a list of problems now:

  1. Dropping WiFi A LOT throughout day, 5 min on, then off, repeat
  2. Turning off WiFi, still couldn’work online using 5G
  3. Text and email notifications not working at all, banners nor sound
  4. When WiFi was working during day, I’d send email to myself to check, emails sat in OutBox until I waited 5-10 min then I’d go back to OutBox and push it through a second time. It would then go through

Very concerned I’m not getting important incoming emails.

I haven’t even checked yet if my photos have been messed up like others are reporting (which 17.5.1 was supposed to fix from previous update that caused photo issues)

My internet company is not having issues. My phone provider Verizon isn’t having issues.

This must be iOS huge mistakes. Nothing is related to each other, the only common denominator is 17.5.1

Yep same here, although I’m also having touch screen issues.

I’m constantly having to reboot my phone so that it works again.

I’m also facing the network issue .. not **Review of iOS 17.5.1 Update: Network Connectivity Issues**

I recently updated my iPhone to iOS 17.5.1 and have since encountered significant network connectivity issues. Prior to the update, my device consistently had strong network reception, but immediately after installing iOS 17.5.1, my phone is not working with mobile network.

This issue is quite disruptive, and I'm hoping Apple addresses it promptly in a subsequent update. Until then, the lack of reliable network connectivity is a major drawback and a significant inconvenience. If you rely heavily on your mobile network for daily tasks, you might want to hold off on updating to iOS 17.5.1 until this issue is resolved.

Since 17.5.1 dropped, I have issues with images appearing as .heic file and cannot view. WiFi keeps dropping randomly, and the most annoying issue is that cellular will not work while connected to Apple CarPlay. I cannot make phone calls, use maps, or even Spotify can’t be changed from existing selection prior to connecting to CarPlay. I tried to even scan a QR code in a drive thru but would not work unless I turned off my car and opened the door to completely disconnect from the vehicle. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max

This latest update has really messed up phone. Touch screen sometimes works, forget about using WiFi, phone randomly shuts off, have to charge the phone about 4 times a day, podcasts and videos have micro pauses all through. With what we paid for these phones, without getting ANYTHING with them and ports change so have to buy all new, they should work all the time. Time to look at other brands of phones.

I have the same with my bluetooth. My airpods pro will keep disconnecting and after that my bluetooth completely disapears I cant even open it in settings. I did the restarts the network reset nothing helped. Really annoying. Also my my phone is randomly slow and laggy sometimes since a few patches. Its an iphone 14 pro max so its not that old.

I updated my 13Pro yesterday, and today I noticed that the Haptics (vibrate) only works on certain apps and sounds. My call ringtone only works half the time, so I rely on the vibration to alert me. Also, I noticed that the vibration suddenly doesn’t work on my iWatch SE. Any help in plain English for this old lady would be appreciated!
