IOS 17.5.1 Problems

iOS 17.4.1 : Text function stuttering as letters are typed on all apps, Twitter, FB etc. Mail not pushing through, screen keeps freezing, everything was fine until yesterday's update.

When will these issues be resolved?

What a wierd glitch 17.5.1 [on both iPhone 13 Pro & iPad Pro (2017)]...when I go to Content & Privacy Restrictions and 'allow' iTunes & App Store Purchases the Apple App Store flashes up on Home Screen (both iPhone & iPad) then disappears but sometimes it doesn't show at all. I keep tight Privacy access & limit App access to most of my phone/ipad features with manual permissions.

However when I 'STOP' my Content & Privacy Restrictions with every Privacy Setting accessible then this is when the Apple Store App reappears on Home Screen...even if it is 'not allowed' on the Settings.

What a crazy weakness when Apps are obviously hotting up for harvesting access to everything...control of privacy access should be greatest priority.

BTW I spent most of yesterday trying to fix this madness including a trip to local Genius Bar and told issue was glitch in Settings...wasted so much time resetting Settings to protect my Privacy. Duh !

Have sent this to Apple & awaiting call back today.

I am having issues connecting to my work wifi, can’t view any voicemails, and having weird lag issues. All since updating my phone yesterday. Been a big headache since I use my phone for work. Been rethinking Apple alot lately. This maybe the straw that broke the camels back.

Can’t call out. All my calls fail. My voicemails had all disappeared. Powering down and powering back up back filled them but I still can’t make calls out. I see the 5G icon for a few seconds when I power back on but it disappears quickly.

Issues here as well - fiddled with WiFi calling (was turned off after update) and the only way I could get my cell phone to work was to enable cell roaming. Call quality was not good, sounded like I was in a tunnel. Is there a fix for this? Hard restart, full turn off, etc. completed.

like you, my WiFi won’t stay connected. paired with some issues with my cell service provider (who knows if the update is causing data connection issues as well) I literally can’t use my phone outside of a WiFi enabled area. during my commute to and from work, my phone is basically useless lol

I'm having the same issues.

• WiFi is dropping in and out.
• WiFi calling is sporadic. I live in an area with bad cell service and rely on the WiFi calling feature.
• Having trouble sending messages to Android phones. Have to keep resending.

My wife and son are having the same issues in the same household since updating to 17.5.1. Did not have problems until the update.

Yep but I am not truly having of this problems, I had my App Store works perfectly fine into this update 17.5.1 and now it will appear then just immediately disappear. Anyone else having this problem?

17.5.1 is a disaster.

1 Erased favorites (safari)from phone, was able to retrieve shutting down and re starting

2 Can’t make calls to anyone in my contact list. Get call failed message. I can call random numbers/businesses that is all.

3 My playlists and artists on my phone are wiped out except for 7 or 8 artists and 22 songs. I had Hundreds of songs from at least 50 artists. All my playlists are gone 🤬

4 WiFi was an issue on and off, seems to have resolved.

Same but also having major issues when making or receiving any of my calls and have good signal. Specially making calls through WiFi is an issue. Get it together man! Fix minor problems all to cause a massive problem and irritation.

Since 17.5.1 dropped, I have issues with images appearing as .heic file and cannot view. WiFi keeps dropping randomly, and the most annoying issue is that cellular will not work while connected to Apple CarPlay. I cannot make phone calls, use maps, or even Spotify can’t be changed from existing selection prior to connecting to CarPlay. I tried to even scan a QR code in a drive thru but would not work unless I turned off my car and opened the door to completely disconnect from the vehicle. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max

I did the update today on June 4, 2024 and I cannot use my text messaging at all. I can receive text messages but I cannot respond to them directly. I can do voice texting only. I run a business $1 million business and I can’t text anybody,

I just updated and now the themes on iBook won’t change unless I’m connected to WiFi exclusively not cell data it’s so frustrating since I usually go for the “calm” options bc it’s not as harsh on my eyes while reading. Hope this gets fixed asap

Same for me and also when I get an incoming call sometimes I cannot see who the contact is at all. I can just hear the phone ringing. until I updated it two nights ago. My phone was working perfect

does anyone know if they are working on a fix?

Same here but now I’m having issues receiving photos. I can send a photo to my dad while standing next to him and he gets a blank message box and that’s it. Same with my friends when sending or receiving photos. Started after the new update.
