IOS 17.5.1 Problems

ever since i updated it i’ve noticed my camera especially being weird. it’s making this constant squeak like sound, almost like i’m shuffling, but i’ll be completely still and it still happens.

same with the visuals on my camera, it’s almost like it’s going constantly in and out of focus. also has this weird green line that pops up.

Ever since updating to iOS 17.5.1 our iPhones no longer find the main Apple TV whose AppleTVOS is also up-to-date in the build-in AppleTV remote control app, it does find the other AppleTV we have just fine… restarted all devices… can use the cheap LG TV remote it works fine… iPhone 15 Pro doesn’t

I am having the most issues I ever had in an update ever, I accidentally forgot to take auto update off and I woke up not being able to open iMessage, it would just be a black screen &crash . Just the same as FaceTime and and it woulnt let me log in a lot of apps as my bank apps. Very annoying apple.

Trying to set alarm on HomePod mini and while phone is working fine, home app is telling me my iPhone is on a different network than my pair of HomePod mini. Getting the “I’m having trouble connecting to the internet, for more info, check the home app”. Everything else seems to be working fine.

before I updated to 17.5.1 version also iPhone just started behaving weird. Touch responses are bad, calls getting cut, applications getting hung . I can’t open outlook on my phone - it opens and then closes out. Touch responses seems like I have used up all the space on the phone . I am using iPhone 13 mini . We need a software update with all the issues resolved asap. This phone is being unreliable at this point of time . I took iPhone thinking that that software wouldn’t be patchy but now it’s totally patchy and unreliable at the moment. Please help !

After the last update to iOS 17.5.1, the message settings have changed to store for a period of 1 month. I have lost all older messages. I see that there are more than 6000 stored in ICloud, but I can't restore them on the phone. Also yesterday the ringer volume was turned all the way down from the settings menu without my intervention.

I updated yesterday and I lost all my shows and list that I had on my podcast app! it is asking me to log in to iTunes every 5 minutes and this is annoying. idk what was intended with this update, but this is not pleasing to me.

Im having simular problems. Mainly my messages isn't working. It will either open to white screen, or it will open but I cannot do anything in messages. It is very frustrating. I have turned my phone on and off many times but it has helped. I am singly lap top to send messages - annoying.

Rumor is the Weather App itself is down right now; it’s probably not related to the iOS software update.

Other problems might be; I think it depends on phone model a bit. We have 2 iPhone SE3s here, one on 17.5.1 for several days without issues and one still on 17.4.1 (delay in updating.) Both have Weather “unavailable” right now.

So I tried to allow "Installing Apps" based on online sources, but the App Store still now back...

Really feel Apple now turn into another Microsoft: Fix most bugs in previous version of its system, but introduce even more bugs..

Just tried factory reset my iPhone to solve the problem, then waste my time to restore back up...

For the first time in my 14 years Apple product experience, I need to factory reset my device to fix a product. Apple, seriously?

Since updating to iOS 17.5.1 I have had nothing but major Bluetooth connections issues. Initially I thought it was my AirPods Pro 2 (2nd-Gen USB-C) that was the culprit. So I chatted with Apple Support back on May 22nd, 2024 since my AirPods are still under warranty, I received a box a few days later and sent them off to be repaired. Apple received them on May 29th, however, I received an email response from them stating "We need more time....," and "Your repair is on hold...," and that there was a part that was needed to complete repair on my AirPods. So here it is a week later from their initial email sent to me (June 6th) and I still haven't heard back from Apple. I keep checking the repair status and its still saying the same thing.

Like I stated earlier, initially I thought the culprit (even though they said they're waiting on a part) was my AirPods Pro 2 (2nd-Gen), until I've tried connecting my AirPods Max, my 1st Gen AirPods Pro, and other 3rd party earbuds to my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Nothing will stay connected and all have updated software/firmware. I have turned off Bluetooth, deleted all devices connected and tried re-pairing them to no avail. My wireless CarPlay also wont connect and so I'm fairly certain that iOS 17.5.1 is the real culprit.

Please Apple fix this Bluetooth issue ASAP and let me know what's up with my AirPods that are on hold.

11 pro worked great until 17.5.1 iOS update. Now touchscreen become non responsive often everyday. Experienced not being able to shut down. Cannot take photos at times. The update seems to overwhelm capability of phone. I would like to go back to iOS 17.4. Is that possible?

After updating my phone to 17.5.1 my phone starting acting weird. I started getting calls from my “boyfriend” but when I answered it would go to his voicemail. The same thing is happening to him where he is receiving calls from “me” but when answered it goes to voicemail. In all of these instances we were not trying to call one another and there is nothing on our call logs indicating we were calling. After research it said it could be spoofing my number but it seems unlikely that it would be doing it to the both of us and not just one of us.
