Hi, I have backed up my iPhone to may Mac since we used iTunes for this. Lately I have used Finder and found my iPhone in the sidebar as described here Back up iPhone - Apple Support
Today, however, the phone does not appear in Finder. I see that there is some reaction on the Mac when I connect the iPhone with a cable, but it does not appear in Finder as expected. Any hints?
If you have not already done this.......
Power / Shut Down the iPhone
Restart the Mac
Use a different cable....if possible.....to connect the iPhone to the Mac
Power up the iPhone
You may see a message asking if you want to "authorize" the iPhone to connect to the Mac. Click to accept on both the Mac and the iPhone.

Yes, after restarting the Mac, the dialog box came and remained on screen until I hit the Allow-button. I have noticed the same behaviour with other peripherals like USB-C docking stations when I think about it. Restarting helps. Thanks

I connected a different phone now and it showed up. Restarting my iPhone.
Any tricks for hitting the Allow-button before it's gone?
My iPhone is now restarted. I connected it and noticed a dialog box flashing on screen and disappearing. I took a screen recording when reconnecting and here you see it. Hmm.
This is how it looks like. Can this be a bug?
