iOS 17.6 Network Issues

Recently updated to iOS 17.6, so far I’ve had my mobile network connection stop working 2-3 times while out running errands. Both times it showed coverage but would not work unless I toggled my network on and off. Since then I’ve done a network reset and my hope is that it solves the issue, but have not been able to test it for sure.

Frustrating either way.

It sounds like you've already taken some good initial steps by resetting your network settings. Here are a few additional troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. **Check Carrier Settings**: Make sure your carrier settings are up to date. Go to Settings > General > About. If an update is available, you'll see an option to update your carrier settings.

2. **Toggle Airplane Mode**: If the issue occurs again, try toggling Airplane Mode on and off. This can sometimes quickly reset your network connection.

3. **Restart Your iPhone**: A simple restart can sometimes resolve network issues.

4. **Reinsert SIM Card**: Remove your SIM card and reinsert it to ensure it's seated properly.

5. **Contact Your Carrier**: If the issue persists, it might be a problem with your carrier's network. Contact your carrier to see if there are any known issues or if they can provide further assistance.

6. **Check for iOS Updates**: Occasionally, new updates are released to address bugs. Keep an eye out for any new updates that might fix this issue.

If the problem continues despite these steps, you may want to contact Apple Support for further assistance.

Same here. The moment i installed 17.6 my celullar signal/data was gone. I have no signal bars, it says no service. I can't call, use mobile data, send messeges, nothing. Started with 17.5.1 but sometimes i would actually catch some signal. I hoped that 17.6 will fix this, but totally the opposite, it's dead all the time now. Phone is totally useless. Shame in you Apple! SHAME!

I have 15 pro max.

Similar to someone else in the comments, my cellular issues started before the 17.6 update. I believe it was early mid July when it started have cellular errors. But this last weekend, I was driving to the city to drop a friend off at the air port with my phone working that day and on the way my phone stopped having service. So basically I was stranded in the city with only McDonald’s WiFi to get a gps to partially get me places. I got stranded n thankfully a friend came to the rescue. That night I updated my phone to 17.6 had service that night, then the next day when I left WiFi, I was at a gas station and I went to set the gps to a location and it was gone. I had to navigate my way home by myself in an area I don’t know at all. Took me a long time (5 or 6 hours), but eventually figured my way out. But this was a hellish experience. The update could literally save someone. Lol Seriously. Ya never know.

I updated my #iOS this afternoon and now my all calls are being missed. People get either a busy tone or calls get disconnected after one ring.

The calls are being registered silently in my #Apple #iPhone call log. The signal is there for me and I am able to call people.

Worst part is that it took 3 attempts for Apple support to connect with me and now I am waiting for a human agent to connect with me for last 19 minutes.

Is there a way to restore phone in previous state?

After I updated to iOS 17.6, two issues happened.

  1. Wifi grayed out and cannot be connected.
  2. Bluetooth is not connected. The turn on button keeps swirling.

Therefore,I tried reset network setting, restarted iPhone, airplane mode on off, and I asked the support desk and talked the support staff but I cannot find the solution. Thus, I need to send the iPhone to a repair shop.

IOS 17.6.1. Has caused many problems on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. It will not connect to any wifi network even though I have reset it many times. It keeps using my cellular data. My battery is being drained quickly and takes a long time to charge. Many of my apps will not work as they say my device is offline. Of course this is only when I can get the app open. It takes forever for anything to open now after the update this morning. Need immediate help with fixes for these problems
