Nearly all of my plugins have been Old Yellered' with the FCPX updates. It would be very helpful to be able to download a 10.6 Version of FCPX, but it seems **** near impossible. One of the other forums said to download FCP on an older OS, but there is NO option to download an older version, only states that I have to update my OS to 13. -whatever to download the newest FCPX. IS THERE ANY HOPE?!
Do you have access to a mac running macOS Big Sur?
If you do, or you have a mac that can run Big Sur, you are in business.
Going to the App Store in Big Sur, selecting your account to see the purchases, and then clicking to Download FCP will give you a warning that the current version does not work, and you will be asked whether you want the latest for that OS, and of course you do!
So if you have a mac running Big Sur, or a friend with a mac running Big Sur, who'd let you log in to the App Store with your id, and download, there you are.
Another possibility is if you have someone nearby who has it. A friend could airdrop it to your mac or copy it on a flash drive for you. I don't think that this is inappropriate if you have a license for the software.
Need to get Final Cut 10.6.5!
