Apple Watch touch screen not working after watchOS 11 Update

Forgot to add, I use imperial measurements so a walking workout is recorded in miles, mph and feet of elevation. But, during the workout the watch displays metric, so km, km/h, metres climbed. That’s only started since I installed WatchOS11

I am having the same issues. Unresponsive touch screen, and improper calibration. Battery life has gotten worse too. Typing on the watch keyboard is unusable as it gets the letters next to what you wanted and you go to backspace the mistakes and it sends the message. I have to apologize for why my messages make no sense. Really hoping an update that fixes these issues will happen soon.

Same here - since updating my series 7 to os11 the touchscreen is regularly unresponsive - can’t swipe down to see notifications. It comes back again after a while, but really annoying.

Also it switched my workouts from miles to km, although the settings hadn’t changed. Changing the setting on the watch to km and then back to miles seemed to fix that.

Just had the upgrade to my AW8 45mm, and the hard restart worked for a couple minutes, but as soon as I needed anything on the top third of the touch screen, it locked up. That includes the passcode login, as 1-3 fall into that dead zone, so the watch is now effectively useless. This needs to be fixed, quickly.

The person in the hardware store told me it’s a hardware issue. Not a software issue.

But all my buttons are still working except the touchscreen. A replacement cost is required.

Rather pointless to head down as they are not admitting it’s a software issue

Same problem here with my Apple watch series 8 45 mm. Can't activate any more power off button

Has anyone found a solution yet? Just experiencing this as well and debating taking it in this weekend to genius.

Alrooney if you do take it to a genius and they get it working, could you please share the fix? It would be appreciated.

touch is off, especially on the top of the screen of my AW7. annoying for sure.

It didnt.

upgrading / unpairing / factory reset / hard reset is not solving the problem. It is always just a temporary fix and a waste of time. Problem is always coming back after a few days.

Watch 9 series it starts to be not responsive enough after 11.2 upgrade. Especially when trying to swipe down
