iPhone 16 Pro Max shipment delayed

Brooo I’m so mad I got this phone pre ordered for my birthday and I’ve been waiting now I gotta wait to the 24th or 30th like then other people get there phone today but I can’t cause of Apple problems like I hope I get something for getting my phone late cause that was not the original date

I got the same message and same variables as you, as well as a “mechanical breakdown”. I have another unrelated package with UPS that states it’s on the truck for delivery by end of day. Some breakdown.iPhone package is in my community sorting facility 🤦‍♂️

Preordered two 16 Pro Maxes when the site first went up. Both initially got a September 20th delivery date. One was indeed delivered today, but the second order keeps getting delyaed without any explanation from Apple or even an email update. They first delayed it a few days ago until September 30th, and today it got delayed yet again until October 21st! Again, no explanation or email from Apple. Terrible!

I went into the EE store at 1pm on the release day to get my brand new desert iphone 16 pro max 256gb ordered. When I was there the guy checked five times to see that it was ready for the launch day release and it was ready for launch day release but when the 20th September 2024 came (today) my phone didn’t unfortunately. Apparently because the order didn’t go through until 2pm because the EE system went down, this caused my phone to be delayed because of their system. I had said to the guy on the day of order that is he sure that the system would handle the amount of people pre ordering and he said yes but unfortunately it did not and I had to wait 1hr after launch and now I’m being told that’s the reason why I’m still waiting. I was literally the first person in the store to pre order and I’ve ended up with nothing as of yet. It’s now the same day as the release and I am still waiting for my phone to come. Maybe they gave it to somebody else and won’t own up to their mistake as I received a text saying that my device was in store but unfortunately that wasn’t my device and i was texted somebody else’s order number to my phone. Very strange if you ask me.

Thanks I went to order one today, nobody’s has one and it now the site says it won’t come until October something - I’ll get one after I come out of hibernation, going off the grid, hiding from all this nonsense.

Im getting the same thing, and no one can tell me where it really is. It’s as if it’s lost somewhere in the system. I’ve been calling UPS all day and no help with telling me actually where my package is at. Its ridiculous

I am very disappointed with Apple. I mean, I’m not gonna have my phone probably until after 26 September, which is about 6 days away. I did not order my iPhone until 12:15 PM Pacific daylight time on Friday, September 13th. I still have not gone. Any updates on? When is it gonna ship? 😢

I am with others who bought the phone from the first minutes of buying the phone through the website. The phone that I bought is black and not this year’s color, so why was the delivery date delayed while others received it?

Wonder if given recent current events the government is being very careful before releasing electronics from China. Idk, shot in the dark. I just want my **** thousand dollar device. I’m guess it’ll come in waves, some of us will get them tomorrow and most next week.

I am in east London, UK. My phone was marked as out for delivery, and then at 13:09 the tracking update said "there has been a security incident but we will still aim to deliver your parcel today"

the DPD customer service chat was useless - they wouldn't update me, they just kept saying "your item is scheduled for delivery on Monday"

This is what happens when Apple chooses to use a dirt cheap courier service. I've been having iPhones delivered to my home for years, and when they used UPS I never had a single issue.

I would like to complain to Apple but I already know they'll tell me to take it up with DPD

I have opposite problem. I ordered mine for delivery in October.Just in case I put a vacation hold in with UPS. Apple shipped earlier than agreed to and UPS says Apple won’t allow them to honor my vacation hold or deliver to a neighbor So they are returning it. Both companies are a complete fail.

I'm having a bad time in the UK - the phone didn't arrive yesterday, due to a "security incident", and even though the courier said the phone would be delivered Monday, it now says it is returning the phone to Apple. I've got no idea what to do - but in all honesty, I'm thinking of cancelling it and sticking to my iPhone 14.

Same thing here- iPhone 16 pro. Was out for delivery yesterday, then rescheduled for today, then the government agency message, now it looks like maybe it went from Columbus back to Louisville, no delivery date now. Super frustrating.

Nothing crazy at all. Preorders opened for iPhone 16 models on Friday, September 13th, but you waited until the 17th to place your order? Most 16 Pro Max’s sold out within about an hour from the opening of preorders for people wanting one on Launch day. If you wanted on launch day, you should have gotten online at 5AM Pacific on the 13th to place your order.

According to one article I read, Apple sold more than 37 MILLION iPhone on the first day of preorders going live. It’s simply supply and demand.

I also have iPhone 16 pro delivery delay. Showed out for delivery on 20th. Then in afternoon showed customer request delivery change to Saturday ( I made no such request) now says today by noon but system shows phone in Lexington, KY., 2 states over.🤷‍♂️
