I ordered my iphone 16 pro max at 5AM PDT on september 13, initially it was supposed to arrive today, friday september 20. On "my orders", it still says that it´s friday september 20, but when I track it in UPS it says it will arrive on monday. Is there any way I can know for sure when it will arrive? Also, the package is currently 5 hours away from my location.

You are NOT speaking with anyone from Apple here. This is a user to user only forum. As such we don't know what's up with your order or for that matter anything about your order.
You need to contact Apple directly for help. Since you are in the US, you can call Apple at: 800-MY-APPLE and make sure you know your order number.
Still waiting on mine as well. Preordered it on 9/13 first thing. Was supposed to be delivered on 9/20. Time kept getting pushed back until 11pm when I got a message saying a Saturday delivery has been requested. It still says that now when I try to track it.

The trade-in boxes frequently come before the device. I got the trade in box for my recent MBP purchase about five days before the computer was available for pickup.
It’s very sad to see people get so upset over the slow movement of a phone. It is just a phone. This happens every year. Getting upset changes nothing except your mind. Please for your mental health don’t let this be so obsessive. I ordered one too, and it’s slow moving.Just trying to help.
Apple dispatch seems to be a mess! I received incorrect/ fake DPD tracking number stating delivery Friday 27/09. Nothing on DPD app,spoke to Apple support,they haven't a clue who has it! They are committed it will be with me by 7 October!...Oh Joy😳
Overall, i agree with your comment. I still believe that this is being done intentionally by apple! To show that there is huge demand. Other than that, i really can see how what is happening is possible!
I ordered mine on the 18th at 1:30pm. I had a delivery date around the 11th of October at first. But in the last week it now says this… my phone isn’t even estimated to ship until the 23rd of October.

In what way could this POSSIBLY benefit Apple? Apple doesn't charge for an iPhone until the phone ships. Your assertion makes literally no sense at all.
I got the same notification. My iPhone 16 pro was supposed to delivered Friday September 20, 2024 then got delayed and I received this message. And then on Monday, September 23. UPS notified me saying that the phone was finally out for delivery in my neighborhood with a time frame for delivery, which came and went. By the end of the business day all of a sudden I got a “no information available” update and that I can start a claim on my package. It’s been a week now and the phone is just MIA
Yes same! My phone was originally spotted in my neighborhood out for delivery by UPS and then all of a sudden I got a UPS update saying I requested a Saturday delivery, which never happened and the phone is now in Louisville KY which is nowhere near me.
Your screenshot has been super helpful (I’ve been comparing your old tracking data to my ongoing tracking - with that being said, you might want to delete it depending on how much PPI a person can retrieve using a tracking number (I have no clue)). Anywho, mine is doing something similar. UPS says it’s still overseas while other data says it’s in Louisville. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the later in hopes it arrives tomorrow rather than Friday.
No ship date, Nada. Given New to this, I’m realizing I ordered the day the phone was released. And more less the “Color of the year”. We did get two immediately within two days from ordering. There for in my mind I had zero reason to doubt when I was told two day shipment for mine.
Well here we are & still no ship date!
High demand yet the news is saying sales are way less than anticipated. And now Doc workers are on strike. Apple and the Service Providers should be giving us some rebates on accessories for the trouble of supporting them.
The thing is on September 20 at 10 am at the dot. I went to the Apple store app and purchased the phone and I got the phone the next day and I cancelled the pre-order.

Placed my order on 14th sept and it is still not shipped. Delivery date is 8th oct which is next week Tuesday. Tried contacting apple customer support but they are helpless and dont know when the phones going to deliver. This is just absurd on apples end honestly.
Lets hope mine delivers by Tuesday the customer support said it will ship today but didn't ship and when I contacted they said to wait another 2 business days for it to ship and we are sure it will ship. I don't know if I should trust them or not.
That’s wild, I ordered mine and my lady’s at the same time. She got the desert color max and I got the white. She got hers within a week after ordering and mine says November 6th is the estimated delivery date🤦🏾♂️. Wonder if the white is most popular maybe that’s why?
