iPhone 16 Pro Max shipment delayed

I ordered my iphone 16 pro max at 5AM PDT on september 13, initially it was supposed to arrive today, friday september 20. On "my orders", it still says that it´s friday september 20, but when I track it in UPS it says it will arrive on monday. Is there any way I can know for sure when it will arrive? Also, the package is currently 5 hours away from my location.

I preordered mine Sept 16, mine has an estimated delivery of 9-16 Oct. My order has just been sitting at processing for a week, it hasn’t even charged my bank account yet.

What does this have to do with Apple? You ordered the phone from Verizon.

How I ordered mine from Verizon and pre-ordered it at that on September 13th. Was told it would be here on the 20th . No phone came info say the order was placed nothing more nothing less. Now they told me today no one on Verizon has the iPhone 16pro max yet. The lies they tell. I’m just probably about to cancel the order. And return everything I bye for the phone . That came before it did . Sad this will Definitely be my last iPhone

I’m in the same boat—delivery for the 20th is now up in the air because my iPhone ended up one state over and didn’t make the truck/trailer yesterday. My main concern is I’m part of the Apple Upgrade Program, and the return kit for my old phone is supposed to arrive any day now. I know I have 14 days to return it, but what happens if my new iPhone keeps getting delayed? Not sure how that’ll play out.

My wife & I ordered 2 watches (X) and 2 phones (16 pro & 16 pro max) within the first minute of the release date (9/13)directly from Apple. 9/20 all 4 devices showed out for delivery but only the watches arrived. The UPS driver confirmed that nothing else was on the truck despite UPS site stating it was out for delivery. A short time later, our phones were several states away. i’ve now chatted into Apple six times trying to get any kind of confirmation when our phones will be delivered and the only information I have received is that in the next three business days that information may be available. They’ve also shared with us that the orders have been canceled and replacements will be sent without any details. Who knows what happened but one thing I know for sure is there’s no ownership from UPS and very little from Apple and after two weeks, I still don’t know when I’m going to receive the two phones that I’ve already paid for

I ordered my iPhone 16 Pro Max Desert Titanium September 13, first thing as I got up. Together with the iPhone 16 Pro Desert Titanium and the iPhone 16 Black, the latter two came in within a week. Then I ordered the AppleWatch 10 for my husband and it came in a few days ago, days within ordering. Yet my iPhone 16 Pro Max has been sitting at "from" status "label created" in Fort Worth, Texas. It is October 13 today! Nothing yet. I did all this work of ordering new devices and prepping and sending back old devices for credit for my family, and I don't have mine yet. What's up Apple?

The iPhone 16 shipping situation is as follows:


iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus: Some colors are scheduled to arrive between October 3 and October 8, while others are set for delivery between October 8 and October 15.

iPhone 16 Pro: Pre-orders are expected to be delivered between October 8 and October 15.


iPhone 16 Pro Max: The ship window for all 256GB variants is estimated to be between October 15 and October 22.


The Dessert Titanium color may not be available at launch due to low stock and prebookings. Customers may need to wait until mid-October for this color

So you are using an iPhone released in 2019, over 5 years ago and you likely have never replaced the battery in your aging iPhone, which is why you have to keep it plugged in to get it work? Batteries don't last forever and on average need to be replaced after about 2 years, depending on how heavily it was used. So no, people don't have the right to be upset, when they could have easily extended the life of their phone while waiting for Apple supplies to catch up with demand. Knowing you needed a new iPhone, why didn't you take advantage of the preorder process when preorders opened at 5 AM Pacific on September 13th? Had you been at the ready like myself and millions of other people, your phone would have been delivered in exactly one week. That weekend alone, it was reported Apple sold in excess of 37,000,000 new phones. That's a staggering number, to say the least. And according to another article, more phones than Samsung sells in the US in one full year. They can only make them so fast and supplies have to catch up to demand.

I ordered my iPhone 16 on October 8th, I also ordered a watch later. On October 22nd UPS came home, they delivered the watch and returned with the phone saying that there was nobody at my house. The next day, they came and had someone sign for the package, when I opened it I only found the cable, no phone.

I opened an investigztiinnwith Apple and a claim with UPS. UPS told me that I should contact Apple and Apple to answer:


We have completed our review with the carrier regarding your shipment and have determined that we are unable to provide a replacement or process a refund.


At this point, the best I can recommend is for you to raise this and report to your local law enforcement. We suggest to contact your local authorities to have this reported. You can also file for a police report.


It doesn’t make any sense to me, I was so excited about my phone because I’ve been using the 11 and now that I wanted to change for my birthday that is coming in few days, and this is the gift that I got.


Apple and UPS are doing such a mediocre job!

A "delivery window" means you may get it as early as October 25th but you may also get it on the 26th, the 27th, the 28th, the 29th, the 30th or November 1st.

That timestamp matches exactly what I see in the UPS app for my Black PM 512 order.

I also agree with you that this was on Apple when you consider the following:

  • I pre-ordered via the Apple Store app on 9/13 but was a slow changing a card number out during checkout and finished ~5:30 AM PT.
    • My original promised delivery of 9/20 was switched to 9/30 to 10/2 after I checked out (let's ignore the fact that I wasn't notified of this change before I made the final tap, otherwise I would've gladly slubbed on down to 1 of 2 local stores for pickup to have it on launch).
    • When I got my email from Apple at 12:08 AM today and use the link to go to the order page, it shows estimated delivery on 9/27.
    • Latest UPS activity shows On the Way - Arrived at Facility at 6:30 PM 9/20 in Zhengzhou, CN
    • UPS current estimated delivery (MO) = 9/23

If I never "really" got a 9/20 delivery, and yours left CN at the same time as mine this morning, how is that not on Apple?
