Convert audio to MIDI

I want to get some favorite songs from original music CD's into Standard MIDI Format (SDF). Objective is to transfer to a Yamaha PSR musical keyboard so as to play & sing along with.

Recording MIDI audio from Max into Logic I'm trying to record MIDI audio (DLS Synth or OB-Xd 3) from Max 8.6.2 into Logic 11 on a MBP and can't find a tutorial. I've tried connecting Blackhole as an input device to an external MIDI track through the Max MIDI Setup (Logic Virtual Out, Max In) but to no avail. Suggestions?

How To Playback MIDI Files on macOS Monterey? How To Playback MIDI Files on MacOS Monterey with on-board tools - if possible? I thought Quicktime Player app would do that. But obviously it doesn't.

Rampsell, iTunes/Music cannot do that. It is actually hairier than it sounds, since MIDI (unlike MP3, AAC, etc.) is coding music instructions, not audio. You can explore 3rd party tools.
