iPhone 16 pro can’t focus for biometric confirmation for banking apps

I also facing same issue with iPhone 16 pro max.I have 4 bank accounts and in every bank application I am suffering same issue.

MCB Bank ( Muslim Commercial Bank)

JS bank

Meezan Bank

Faysal Bank

Put a magnifying glass before iPhone camera and than do the in app verification. It will be done. Just did on mine iPhone 16 pro max

I am also having the same issues. It’s annoying. I can login with any old phone no issues but the iphone 16 pro doesn't seem to focus on the finger prints.

Hey Dear! I’m also facing the same issue on iPhone 16 Pro Max it shows try again the camera is unable to focus on fingerprint when come close to the camera!

16ProMax Biometric Issues

I’m unable to login my banking apps due to biometric issues. This iPhone 16 is unable to focus on close objects. Can i get any help regarding this issue.

im trying HBL, Jazz cash and other wallet biometric but my iphone 16pro camera not focusing well and the result verification failed even i have updated ios18 but same i have tried many tricks and also modify the camera setting and worst case HBL only allow biometric via app only no in branch.

I am facing the same issue with different banking apps in pakistan. It seems like there is a focus issue when camera is opened within third party apps

The magnifying glass trick worked in Alfalah app for me.

Magnifying glass suggestion worked like a charm on Alfalah and Jazzcash. Super thankful to folks who suggested that.

Banking apps use the ultrawide lense for biometric verification. And because 16 pro lineup has an upgraded 48MP ultrawide lense, the verification cant continue because the apps need to be updated to support the new lens.

It will get fixed once the app developers rewrite some code. Not Apple's fault.

I have 16 Pro Max and facing this same issue. I would say wait until the app developers start updating the apps.

I have installed version 18.1 RC but still facing issues with HBL, Bank Alfalah, and Meezan Bank.

Hi Assad, no need to worry! Use a magnifying glass and try it in a dark room. You can also use nearsighted glasses if needed. I had the same issue and resolved it successfully. It’s a problem with the app, as it hasn’t been integrated with the new camera modules of iPhone 16 yet.
