iPhone 16 pro can’t focus for biometric confirmation for banking apps

So HBL and allied can be solved by visiting nearest branch. So far Alfalah we have to wait for updates to solve the issue. Rest banks like Faysal and Silk dont need digital biometrics to engage

Just for Banking app’s updates. One manager of Bank Alfalah said similar issue came in iphone 14 model and was resolved with app update in a month or so. So lets hope it gets solved soon

Put a magnifying glass before iPhone camera and than do the in app verification. It will be done. Just did on mine iPhone 16 pro max

Hi Assad, no need to worry! Use a magnifying glass and try it in a dark room. You can also use nearsighted glasses if needed. I had the same issue and resolved it successfully. It’s a problem with the app, as it hasn’t been integrated with the new camera modules of iPhone 16 yet.

Same is happening with me when trying to verify fingerprints on Alfalah and Jazzcash. 16 pro max.

Visited the bank and they asked me to cover the flash and try again, didn't work for me but they said it worked for some. Hoping to find a solution soon.

The first time someone noticed a genuine issue 😀 happening with all banking apps and I contacted their helpline and repeatedly requested that they speak to the developers or provide guidance this issue is happening due to Apple’s recent upgrade to the camera lenses. This is a straightforward update that can be easily resolved, but unfortunately, their developers seem to be unable to comprehend it. Consequently, there appears to be no hope for a solution. Contacting their developers through the app stores or accessing their backend contact details is no longer feasible.

I am facing the same issue with different banking apps in pakistan. It seems like there is a focus issue when camera is opened within third party apps

This is only in iphone 16 pro max and will be solved in upcoming update ( 28 october 2024)

With all due respect, im using HBL. Within app it says get digital biometric done or visit nearest branch to get it done. My issue was solved in Branch

Problem lies with the banking apps.

Magnifying glass suggestion worked like a charm on Alfalah and Jazzcash. Super thankful to folks who suggested that.
