iPhone 16 Pro Max not charging wirelessly in my 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I have a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport with a wireless charging pad and I just purchased an iPhone 16 Pro Max. Does anyone know if I am going to run into this issue of my new phone not charging on my cars wireless charging pad? I am unsure of what phone case to buy as a result of learning the new iPhone has a lip around the camera lenses and therefore won’t lie flat on the charging pad. Does anyone have any suggestions on phone cases to get and what to do about this issue?

I having the same issue. On my bedside wireless charger. Thought the issue was my case but have been taking out off the last week and it starts to charge and my morning it’s not charged at all.

I’ve tried taking it on and off through the night and each time it shows it’s charging but then it seems to stop.

apple really need to sort this.

Did you try it on your Bronco Sport yet? My 2025 Bronco Sport Outer Banks (Sasquatch) is being built February 10th and just wondering if I'm going to have the same issue. I bought Apple's clear case for my iPhone 16 Pro. My new phone isn't charging right on either of my wireless charging pads at home.

Update: I have the same issue regardless of whether or not my phone is in the Smartech Magsafe case. Even uncased, the phone will not charge for long on a wireless charger. If the phone is already charged to a high level, say 70%, when I put in on the charger for the night, it will have a lower charge level in the morning.

In car wireless charger this strategy doesn’t work. Infact no strategy at all works …., !!

I just updated today to the latest iPhone 16pro software and the problem still exists. My iPhone 15 worked perfectly on a flat charger with a cover. Too bad the new iPhone is not refundable

Disabling Optimized Batrery charging doesn’t work to make wireless charging work on my 16pro (belkin WIB002)

I have just purchased an iPhone 16 pro and have bought a case for it that has MagSafe built in. However, it won’t change in my car charging pad and probably never will as the camera bump means my phone won’t lie flat to make contact with the car pad. It works ok on the little flat disc that plugs into the electric, but wanted to just it into the pocket with the charging pad where no cables are required. Apple obviously haven’t thought this out very well. My previous iPhone 12 worked fine, but now I’ve upgraded it won’t work. Upgrading is suppose to improve the service, but Apple have fallen short here ☹️😩

It’s been reported by multiple members that the issue is with the manufacturers. The size and distribution of the charging coils is wrong and some phones are not charging. I have a iPhone 16 Pro Max and it charges fine in my GMC Yukon XL and I’d assume other GM vehicles.
