Apple Music on Apple TV

My Apple Music subscription works fine on my phone, but for the past few weeks when I’ve tried playing it on my Apple TV it’s slow. It starts and stops. It doesn’t really work.

Possibly a networking issue, what I mean is you may not have adequate bandwidth where the Apple TV is located to support streaming music. The first thing I'd recommend trying is the following:

  1. Unplug router and modem for 2-3 minutes and then replug them in and re-boot them.
  2. Do the same with your Apple TV (unplug from power etc....)
  3. Test

If that does not solve the problem, then look for a tool such as iStumbler to measure your Wi-Fi bandwidth where the Apple TV is located. I am not referring to the speed of the Wi-Fi, I am referring to how strong the signal is where the Apple TV is located.
