iCloud backup and data transfer issues on my new iPhone

Are the phone next to each other, plugged into a power source so it stays connected to wifi when doing the quick transfer.

Same with restoring from backup, phone need to be plugged to power source so it stays connected to wifi.

click on the link I provided and make sure the old phone is compatible to do the quick transfer.

and see link about restoring from icloud backup, make sure all is set correctly.
