Download button greyed out on iCloud web access

You can't do that with a folder-- you can't even do that with an album. For a folder, you would have to open it, then open one of the albums, and select them all-- the download button should be active, then. Or, if this is a folder of folders…well, you get the idea. Downloading only works at the picture level.

I'm not sure what you mean by "download a directory." When you select a picture, does the download button become active?
