Cmd key ghost typing on Macbook Air M2 15'

I use my MBA with an external display, mouse(logi MX3), keyboard (mx keys mini). Recently i have started to encounter this problem, where suddenly the keyboard starts to behave as if the CMD key is pressed, whilst it is not physically. When this happens the laptop becomes sort of unusable, i can't type as it starts to register shortcuts. Mouse clicks also gets affected as the laptop functions essentially as cmd+ left click. I have tried everything that i could find online-

restarted the laptop
checked software update, both on laptop and external devices
disconnected and reconnected the external devices
turned off and on bluetooth
forget the bluetooth devices and then reconnect them

But nothing seems to work. I have to again and again, toggle my keyboard and mouse off, and then toggle it back on, few times, and then it starts to work normally for sometime, and then again the issue props up. I have tried with another keyboard, a logi k480, but it is also having the same problems. Please help.

Have you tried to update your Mac to the latest software version to see if the issues persist?

if not try and boot your Mac in the safe mode to see if the issues persist.

if the issues don’t persist in the safe mode they are caused by an external piece of software, you might want to Evaluate the external software installed to your mac

Start up your Mac with Apple silicon in safe mode

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > Shut Down.
Wait for your Mac to shut down completely. A Mac is completely shut down when the screen is black and any lights (including in the Touch Bar) are off.
Press and hold the power button on your Mac until “Loading startup options” appears.
Select a volume.
Press and hold the Shift key, then click Continue in Safe Mode.
The computer restarts automatically. When the login window appears, you should see “Safe Boot” in the menu bar.

After careful observation, i feel the culprit is the Logitech MX3 mouse. I have used the keyboard without the mouse and everything works perfectly. But as soon as i start to use the mouse even without the keyboard, all the problems reappear, like trying to open any application from dock, doesn't open it, but opens up applications folder in finder, and then i have to click again on from the Application list in finder to finally open the app. Mouse clicks won't register for menu bar on top right, and many other anomalies, it also makes typing dysfunctional. All these scenarios are similar to when you press and hold CMD key on keyboard and then try to use mouse or type. I am totally frustrated and i have tried almost everything. Please someone help.
