1st generation AirPods Max drops Bluetooth connection repeatedly. 2025 issue.

After listening for about 20 minutes, the Bluetooth connection will just drop. I have to go into settings to reconnect. Once reconnected it will keep dropping off every 10 or 15 minutes. I eventually switch to my AirPods.

You might want to check for an AirPods firmware update :

About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Latest AirPods firmware versions

    • AirPods Max (USB-C): 7E108
    • AirPods Max (Lightning): 6F25"

and

"Find your AirPods firmware version on your iPhone or iPad

To use your iPhone or iPad to check that your AirPods are up to date, make sure you have the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, then tap the Info button (i) next to the name of your AirPods.

Scroll down to the About section to find the firmware version."

If using AirPods with Mac: Linked article at the top includes how to update AirPods firmware

NB: Reminder: if updating OS version, it is wise to back-up your data first :

Else: Re: connectivity issues

If all your software, and formware is already up-to-date, you might want to check for interference :

Thank you, brbo. This is a good trouble, shooting start. I had done all that everything‘s up-to-date.it doesn’t seem to matter where I am,sitting in the living room out in the kitchen out in the yard with the phone near me the whole time it’s just a recent thing that started, and my cynical and skeptical mind has me thinking that Apple wants me to buy the New USB-C version and ditch this lightning connected version that is still working just fine for me. But I don’t wanna think Apple would do that to me I ve been an apple fan forever and ever. I just wish I could solve this problem it’s pretty annoying and really seems to happen for no reason. Thank you again for your reply
