How do I delete Gmail from my iPhone mail app?

We've already given you the answer you seek. Follow the advice LD150 provided and don't touch your Gmail app. It's truly that simple. I think what is confusing is the Path: Settings > Apps > Mail - that does not have anything to do with the Gmail App. It takes you to the settings within the Mail App, where you can then choose Mail Accounts - Google and delete Google from the Mail App. This will NOT do anything to the Google App.
