iPod Touch won't turn on !!

I have an 8 GB iPod Touch and it does not turn on, it was working and it just went off and won't turn on. I tried to connect it to iTunes but it is still the same.

Does anyone know what's wrong and how do you fix it ?

Warning to anyone that has a ipod that wont turn on.

i had a ipod touch 4th gen 8gb

if u noticed before it went wrong that it was heating up quite alot mainly at the top of the ipod

and it goes off, its burnt out and u cant fix it.

i got my ipod for my birthday 🙂

then i noticed it would heat up (but cool down in standby in like 5 mins)

if u let it heat up too much the componants and motherboard will burn and die out.

if u noticed alot of heating before it goes off then thats proboly what happened 😟

I have the latest iTouch. A 64GB. it's about 3 months old. Over the wknd an app of mine was acting up so i deleted it and reinstalled it. As I was waiting for it to load i started to play a game and then all of a sudden my screen went black. So I held the home and lock button to see if it would restart and nothing. I let it be thru the night. In the morning I started it up to see if it would work. It turns on, i see the apple start, then it shows me the USB and iTunes. Like if I just bought it. I connected it and iTunes is telling me that it cannot do anything until my iPod restores itself. How is that so? Even on the iTunes it doesn't even show the gigs or serial number. So what is really wrong with my iTouchh??

My IPod Touch ran out of batteries so I plugged it into my laptop to charge like I normally do. But when I tried to turn it back on after I let it charge up a bit it wouldn't turn on. I've left it plugged in for an hour or so and I've tried the holding down "Home" and "Power" buttons for a minute and a lil more and nothing is happening. Any ideas or just bring it into the Apple store?
